This motel is so clean and so warm the rooms are very nice and tidy. We go 2 nights every year for the 4th we sit by the pool one whole day no one is there they are all out sightseeing. We go to resturants in the area and enjoy a time to shop at the Out let stores. In all this is the place to stay with kids or with your partner/ spouse/ parents............enjoy see ya at the pool next year.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool. Free cold breakfast in the lobby. Coffee always free.

We stayed in Oct of 2011. Had a large room but room was very dated. More a 70's feel. Don't know what it was but room looked pretty clean but didn't feel clean. We paid 135 a night and have stayed in alot better for that price. Breakfast was average. Not many hotels in this area so guess that is why they can charge this. You'll be fine if you do not expect much. Stayed in the new Hilton in Bangor on the same trip for 145.00 and there was no comparison!

It's a good place to stay. Very clean place, nice staff, not so far of Ogunquit and Boston, also we had a very good breakfast and all the trasaction was easy going. Very quiet room, so I would return if I go back in this area.

Things in my mind which really need improvements are the decoration, furniture and humid carpets which are outdated as hell and very ugly. Some windows also need to be replaced. We would have expected much more about those aspects, the price of our room was a bit high from what we compared with more beautiful rooms we've found elswhere.

Those are the small things that bugged both me and my wife a bit, but It didn't affect our vacation, it was a good stay and I would go back. 4/5 for this place !

What a wonderful surprise - yes we read the reviews but it was sparkling clean and non-smoking. The front desk lady was a real touch of Maine hospitality and just down the road were of course the outlet malls and a variety of great places to eat. In the morning the breakfast was nice breads, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast (of various kinds) and choice of two cereals. Plenty of coffee, tea, oatmeal, and goodies to go too. We met the head housekeeper (Lori) and complemented her on how wonderful everything looked and was - a definate Inn to be stayed at again. And very close to Rye, Portsmouth NH harbors for whale watch time. Thank you to all at Coachman for the lovely welcome. Hope to see again in a few weeks. P.S. The Spruce Room was a nice addition with the internet and BIG TV!!!

Room Tip: Just smile the rooms are colonial warm and welcoming.

This hotel is one of our annual stops going to Northern Maine. We travel with our yellow lab and this hotel welcomes her each year with a smile. I love that the pet rooms are in the back of the hotel on the lower level as it is close to the "pet" area and quick access in and out for walks. The staff is amazing and most accommodating. As others state the Breakfast is much better than most and the rooms are comfortable with homey decorations. It is located in a coastal town so expect to pay a little more....but it is worth it for the convenience to everything and its cleanliness.

My mom and I took our yearly trip and chose Kittery this time. We stayed at the Coachman Inn for 3 nights and met some wonderful people who were also staying there. The room was very clean (so important), the staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, and pastries so there was no need to go somewhere else first thing in the morning. The hotel was centrally located so we had easy access to many activities, beaches, and restaurants. The only complaint would be about the too soft pillows and some noise from the other rooms. I would recommend staying here and would stay here again.

I had a groupon for the Coachman Inn so the price was right. The rooms were very large, and clean and the staff was nice and extremely helpful. The have little cards with directions to all the local attractions at the front desk - very handy.

Breakfast was nice; breads, pastries, cereal, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, ect.

My room had a fridge and microwave, so I was even able to bring lunches and leftover and eat in style.

Room Tip: Select a room on the rear of the Inn to stay away from traffic and street lights.
