“Glad we stopped”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

My friend and I were driving through Maine and we needed a place to spend the night. We stopped and Christine welcomed us. We planned only to spend 1 night but Christine told us all the things we could do near Lincolnville so we decided to stay for 2 nights. We walked up Mt.Battie, walked to a lighthouse and took a sail boat ride.it was really great. The breakfast was good all homemade a little variety would have been better.Ed and Christine work very hard to make this a pleasant place to stay. The only complaint we had was the smell from the Eco cleaning products they use.

Our visit to one of the local wineries was made all the better with our stay at Mount Battie. Our room was clean and comfortable, the owners were friendly and really take pride in their motel and the breakfast was great! Lots of fresh breads, coffee and good conversation on the front deck! Hope to make it back up to Maine and Mount Battie again soon.

Due to the very friendly and helpful hosts the overall experience was more like in a upscale bed&brekfast. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. Great breakfast. The area is really nice with a lot of fun things to do. We can highly recomend this place.

In our first ever trip to Maine to see the fall colors and eat lobster we coose to stay here because of the location and what we have read about this place and we could not have stayed at a better place. Both Ed and Christine made us feel at home and treated us like family and help us in finding the best places to eat, shops to visit as to what we were looking for and liked. Christine homemade foods for breakfest were really great, so much better than the store bought stuff the other places had we stayed at. Our room was in the back from the road and it was great and just over all it was relaxing, quiet and the fire pit was nice to sit around in the evening and share talk with the other travelers. To all that reads this review and I can say that this is the place to stay and you will not go wrong, when we come back this is the place we will always remember and will stay at again.

Room Tip: The room we had in the back was very quiet and very nice

While traveling through Maine someone referred to the Mt. Battie Motel located in Lincolnville - just a mile or so north of Camden, they were so right, what a great place to stay... directly across from the Bay.
We met both Christine and Ed at check-in, such wonderful friendly people. They were so helpful to directing us to all nearby local Maine activities, some great Restaurants, as well as who to see for a great sail on a schooner ship in Camden.
Christine serves a great continental breakfast, or will pack you some muffins for the road if you are heading out for an early sightseeing trip. We stopped for a night and ended up staying four days since it was so centrally located to lots of places we planned on visiting. We're so glad we stopped for our relaxing visit, and would love to stay here again when we come back to Maine...

We came for an overdue husband and wife vacation and left having made friends with both owners and guests. Charming accommodations and delicious breakfasts. How many places have you stayed at that you know the owners by name? Trust me, it matters and it counts. They won't steer you wrong on sites and activities to do as well. They'll even make the arrangements for you! Thank you Ed and Christine for everything! Chad and Michele, Nj
