We stayed 3 nights at this lovely inn. The setting and ammemities are wonderful. Our room was large and very comfortable and the breakfast was varied and excellent. The staff were most helpful and welcoming. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Inn.

We were sitting in a bar in Camden thinking about where our adventure would take us next and decided after the little bit of site seeing that we had done that we would like to stay somewhere in the area. I used one of my Apps and this place was one of the top rated for the area and the pictures of the view, the rooms and the amenities got us to go ahead and book a room for the night. At check in a young man took us on a tour of the facility and property and by the time we finished decided we wanted to spend at least one more evening here. Our room was like a suite and we could not have been happier. The view of the ocean and all the rooms have one, was incredible. The facility and the people that work there are fantastic, one of the best road surprises we have had! They also include a great breakfast special or off menu that comes with the stay.

Room Tip: At the time of our trip the kitchen was only open in the mornings but during the season it has more...

Once you walk through inn to the back you realize what everyone is talking about. The view, landscaping, breeze all combine to make you go "Ahhhh!". Staff is very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Elevator was out the whole time we were there so going up and down the stairs with luggage might be a problem for some. The place is definitly not for the handicapped with pepple walkways and steps here and there. Room was very large, bed comfortable with 3 giant pillows, strong shower and great view. The towels were scratchy though and I wonder if their laundry could work on that. There are rooms also in an upper building so a short walk to breakfast and the pool for some. Breakfast by Joe very good. You could easily fill up on the fruit, muffins, cereals and breads available buffet style. The infinity pool was too tempting to pass up even though it was cool outside.l for
Tables for breakfast were set for two as were the lounge chairs outside. A communal area with a computer and couches was not very well lit for reading. Ice, beverages (for a price) and a refrigerator for your use was available at all times. "Private beach" is a misnomer.

Room Tip: Higher floors would probably have a better view as would being in the main building.

We spent 2 nights at this gorgeous Inn, June 12-13, 2013. Everything we read about this place is true. I'm so glad we booked here. We had such a relaxing experience. The grounds and the Inn are beautiful. The staff made you feel so welcome and the breakfast they served was outstanding!
This is truly the perfect place to stay. We will be back. Thank you for giving us a memorable stay.

well worth the few miles drive into Camden for all inn at Ocean's Edge offers. The drive and plantings add such a wonderful welcome. The property is special and wonderful to wander, walk, read anywhere. Each evening they light the outdoor fireplace by the spa building.....truly delightful. The hot tub, sauna, infinity pool (need to get it warmer than 75 'tho). So many places to hang out as alternates to the very nice large rooms.

Morning cook-to-order breakfast is just wonderful....eating either out or inside. And, cookies and tea/coffee every afternoon.

I try to avoid elevator and here there's a grand spiral staircase between the three levels.
Everybody is so friendly and willing to go the extra step to make your stay memorable.

Besides the pool chilly temp, my only other tiny issue......the mattress . While it was comfortable okay, my husband doesn't sleep well so he's up-n-down a lot during the night....and, with this mattress I felt his every twist and turn.....

My wife and I spent 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend. Room in the Inn building was tasteful, spacious, and comfortable. Outdoor pool wasn't quite warm enough but gorgeous (black stone infinity edges) overlooking Penobscot Bay and hot tub was nice, too. An exercise room would be nice (hint). Breakfast delicious; service was adequate a bit disorganized. Innkeepers were delightful and helpful. Plenty of dining choices 5 minutes away in Lincolnville Beach and Camden. And good value for money!

Room Tip: Room in the inn building means breakfast is nearby; bay-side is a plus!
