“Excellent place”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

Stayed for 2nts on our first visit to Maine & what an excellent choice. We arrived early & thankfully the room was ready as we were closely followed by thunderstorms.
We would rather have an immensely comfortable king size bed in a small room than a small double in a large room. Cracking shower in an immaculate bathroom. No breakfast but coffee & fresh mini muffins always available.
A very welcoming comfortable place with delightful owners.

Parsons Post House was a great selection for our first visit to Ogunquit. The inn sits square in the middle of everything. With very short walks to everything in town, we never moved our vehicle except to drive to York and Kennebunkport. Laura and John were happy to quickly take care of every little thing we asked. Very nice. Great value.

Rooms are newly remodeled and very clean. Laura and John are extremely helpful and friendly, and are eager to provide suggestions on everything from food to local sights. They also offer essential beach items such as chairs and towels free of charge. Location is right in the heart of town and just a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

My husband and I were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary and as usual we take our motorcycle and head to Ogunquit...It was my husbands idea to try Parsons Post House for 2 nights and were not disappointed one bit!!!! Yes the rooms are small but you are only there to sleep. Yes the parking spots are very close but everyone seemed respectable and careful and it is within walking distance to everything so you park and walk everywhere or take the trolleys. The room was very bright and immaculate with a small fridge and chest of drawers and 2 small night stands. (the only thing I would suggest would be a half or full length mirror in room and maybe a shelf over the fridge to set items on because there is really no room in bathroom to place toiletries). The owners, Laura and John live on premises and if you need anything, and I mean anything... they will have it for you right away. They do not serve brkfast but coffee, tea, (loved the Tazo Chai!!) homemade cookies and/or muffins were available even in afternoon and evening. We loved sitting out on the front patio with our wine and snacks (they supplied the wine glasses) and relaxed while "people watching". On the second floor there is a bright, quiet reading area with a wonderful view and ocean breeze coming through the large windows. We felt so welcomed from the time we arrived right to the time we left. I am very, very picky about where I stay and the cleanliness of the hotel rooms that we stay in. I have to say that I actually felt comfortable going barefoot on the floor of the room (hardwood, with area rug) and the bathroom floor as well. Again, the place is immaculate! We will definitely be going back on our future visits to Ogunquit to visit with Laura, John and the wonderful staff of the Parsons Post House!!! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!! Jean & Fred T.

The rooms are small but immaculate. We appreciated the king sized bed, ample pillows, and duvet. There was no view and no room for anything but a bed and chest of drawers but the inn is walking distance from everything. This is not a bed and breakfast so breakfast is on your own.

Room Tip: I would choose something on the second floor, preferably facing the road which has a view of the oce...

Simply the most welcoming hotel I've been to :)

I Loved it and I definitively recommend it. The rooms are a bit small, but really clean and comfortable. If you need anything just ask the desk and they will help you.

We stayed three nights at the Parsons Post Inn. The location is great.... park your car and walk to everything !! The rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff is wonderful, they are always available to answer any questions, recommend restaurants etc. We usually prefer to stay at larger hotels, after reading the reviews, we decided to try an "inn"...... what a great decision !!!
