A good alternative and a short 10 minute walk from Ogunquit Beach. The take out lunch windows around the beach offer typical fried foods and wimpy oily French fries. The Village Market offers made to order healthier options. My family had the veggie sub, turkey club, and Greek salad. All 3 were yummy. Sandwiches/Salads cost around 7.00-9.00 depending on what you order. They wrap them so you can eat them on the beach or at the limited tables they have out front. While your waiting for them to be made you can browse the grocery store for anything else you might need such as snacks, alcohol, sodas, desserts, juice etc. There is also a deli in the store if you want to make your own sandwiches! Great place we will be back.

Got turkey sub here...had to wait probably 30 minutes it was so busy and it wasn't anything great. We did do a quick run in for a bottle of wine to bring back to our place one night, so that was convenient. Driving to the Hannafords in Wells is quite the ordeal during 4th of July week. It was so busy in there I thought a fight was gonna break out! Lol! Anyway, sis need hydrogen peroxide for stubbed toe, cost 1.09, so it's nice they don't jack the price up. So...not sure how this place gets rave reviews other than for the convenience of a market with to go food if you're desperate and don't want to make your own sandwich for the beach maybe.

We usually stop in when in town, really like the selection of groceries, baked goods , sandwiches, etc. it seems as though they are short of help at times and it is hard to find someone to ring you up, especially if they are busy. That would be my only complaint, everything else is good.

I just love this little market for some reason. It's basically the only place to get groceries so everyone stops at some point in their trip. Good selection of beer and produce and cheese. The deli looked great but we had already eaten lunch.
