A great place to order a sandwich in the afternoon or evening.
Or, you might be up for coffee and eggs in the morning. Did you ask food, groceries, wine, beer to go? They have all that and much more. In the evening they have, for $9.99 a choice of meat, and two sides. Take it back to your room or eat it out front watching all the people walking by. A great selection of chilled wines and an equally good selection of reds to go, all at quite reasonable prices. Wonderful fresh baked goods anyone?
I saved the best for last; on Wednesday nights they have a $5.00 cheeseburger that is outstanding.
This place is a gem in an otherwise tourist-priced destination.

This is a great place to grab snacks for the day, or there are a few tables in front on the sidewalk-
The staff seemed super grumpy and unorganized - but it is the start of the season!
Breakfast sandwiches were cheap- (under $4) and the close most of the breakfast options after 11-
There is a heated section on the main counter that offered but one get one free after 11- and they were great! I would recommend- just know it will take a bit to get your food!

At the end of the day I would stop and get some chowder. There are a few tables and chairs in front of the store where I would have my chowder and people watch. Love this place.

Village Food Mart has is a small supermarket, and they make delicious subs and sandwiches. We visit Village Food Mart every time we go to Ogunquit. Even if it's just a day trip. Besides the subs, they have drinks and snacks. Oh yes, they carry wine too!! I'm not sure about beer and liquor. Village Food Mart also carries meat and chicken if you just want to throw it on your grill. I haven't bought the meat or chicken, but it looks very fresh in the case. The baked good aren't bad either. Hope you enjoy!!

We bought a few bags of groceries. Our cashier rang everything up and finished with our case of water. Instead of charging us for a case, he rang up a separate bottle 24 times. We brought it to his attention that he charged us over $24 for a case of spring water. He was very gracious. It was his 2nd day on the job. There was no one in sight helping him. He started voiding everything line by line. After a few minutes he asked if it would be okay to try and get help. Of course we agreed. A very surly, non customer service oriented guy came and without asking any questions, voided the whole order. Our cashier asked about all the other groceries we had. He said it would all have to be taken out of the bags and rung up again. He never spoke to us, never apologized and never acknowledged us. Shame on him and the store for having someone by themselves at the cash register in his second day. We will not be back.
