“Had a Great Time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 February 2010

Meadowmere is a fabulous hotel and we had a wonderful time. It was recommended to us by two different friends and it was all they said it was an more. Exceptional amenities (even on the off season) and close to everything. We got the queen room with two person jacuzzi and it was wonderful. The gym was the best hotel gym I've seen anywhere. And the tanning booth was a nice addition too.

I highly recommend it and we can't wait to go back this summer!

Our Main Jacuzzi Suites are great – like having a B&B getaway inside your room with all the extras that the hotel has outside. It is wonderful to hear that you friends recommended us (it’s the number one way people find out about us!) and we thank you for giving us a try. This was my third stay at the Meadowmere; each one has been great. My first stay was for a special anniversary and we chose a room with a fireplace and jacuzzi. It was absolutely wonderful. My second stay was in a standard room, and while not QUITE as special, it was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and a great place to stay. On this trip I was upgraded from a standard to a room with a fireplace - a very nice surprise, and a very nice room. This was my first stay with a friend, as opposed to my husband. It was my friend's first stay at the resort and she loved it. I feel sure she will be a repeat customer, as I know I will be.
No matter what room you choose you will have access to the many amenities; a personal favorite is the Roman spa - the bubbles of a hot tub, the soothing warmth of a bathtub - perfect. There are the pools - indoor and outdoor - and the outdoor hot tub, as well as a very well equipped fitness center, and a theater. For food there is The West Meadow Pub onsite or Jonathon's right next door, as well as numerous options around the town.
There is great shopping, in-season entertainment and beaches - just a ton of things to do. I highly recommend The Meadowmere for families, groups, or couples.

Driving south on Rt. 95 and decided, with the growing snowstorm to stay somewhere before the weather got any worse. Checked out the Anchorage, at the water, and the Meadowmere on Rt 1. Found prices to be about the same so we decided to take the road less travelled. We have stayed a few times at the Anchorage and thought we would try something different for a change and we were pleasantly surprised. We have driven past the hotel many times wondering if it was a nice place to stay but never had the opportunity as we always book ahead to places we have been before.
Found a king bed room on the third floor for $109. with AAA. The lobby area was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the smell of the fresh flowers powerful and quite pleasant. Staff very courteous and helpful about the resort and suggested dinner at Jonathon's, next door. After unpacking, decided to check out the pub and found a delightful spot in front of the massive fireplace. Although the pub was fairly empty considering the impending storm, it seemed quite cosey. Would like to return during a busier season.
The view from our room towards the office/pool area was absolutely gorgeous in the evening with all the lights twinkling in the snow. The hot tub was very inviting as was the large pool.
As was suggested at the front lobby, we ventured over to Jonathon's Restaurant for a wonderful dinner. Found a much larger menu and better pricing then when we had stopped in the past. The missus found the martini of the evening spectacular.
Overall, can't wait to go back in warmer weather so we can enjoy the out door pool and shopping in the area.

As usual, the staff was welcoming and made us feel right at home thank you. The room (suite) was a very pleasurable stay. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace. In addition, the facility has all we need to get some sought after R & R and we only need to travel for a bit over an hour to get there. Very convenient. We appreciate the efficiency, friendliness, and accomodating staff; especially Stuart and Michelle.

We booked a fireplace/jacuzzi suite for the New Year's weekend. It was sort of last minute, but I called and was helped by a very pleasant person in booking the room type we wanted, as well as massages. We did not get the dining package-we did not want to be limited in our dining choices.
Location-it is a liitle far to walk to downtown (especially in winter), and I cannot imagine walking to the beach from there. But it is on the trolley line, so in-season that is a nice option.
Arrival-could see right away parking would be tight, especially since we drove a full size pickup. Check-in was a breeze, less than two minutes and we were on our way to the room.
The Room-the room was on the third (top) floor of the South Meadow building, and was accessible by stairs or elevator. The room itself was very nice if a bit small, but that's an expected tradeoff for a room with a king bed, fireplace and a two person jacuzzi (it is definitely two person, at least in our room). The very clean room had a refrigerator and plenty of storage. TV cabinet with the pull out TV stand was cumbersome-with a our poster bed only one person could see the full TV screen. That is the only negative if I had to pick one. Bathroom was small, and the sink was just outside of the bathroom. But it doesn't feel out of place there. All in all a very nicely appointed room for the space they had to work with for the design. Outdoor deck was big enough for three chairs.
Amenities-We used the massage service-very nice. We did not use the gym but it was well equipped-maybe the best hotel gym I have seen, and I've seen plenty. It is also has a local membership, so I am not sure how crowded it gets-we were there in a snowstorm and only 7-10 people were using it.
The Roman Spa was great-we had it to ourselves for about 30 minutes. The outdoor hot tub was open, but we did not venture outside in the snow.
We ate at the West Meadow Pub one night-only two couples were in the place. There were only two available dishes, which might be expected for the off-season. The Pub was nicely decorated and had a nice fire going. The bartender was friendly and helpful-we ordered takeout to supplement the options in the bar. We did not use the Pub for breakfast.
Overall-we definitely enjoyed our stay, the room was great, the jacuzzi and fireplace were well worth the extra cost. We will most likely stay again in the winter as we have a property in the area we check in on from time to time in the off season. In season I am sure it gets more crowded and maybe difficult to park and/or use the amenities. We may have hit a great time to go-the weather was bad, and there was apparently a large group for a wedding that was gone most of the day/night Saturday, leaving the hotel almost to ourselves. To give you some reference, we went to Maine diner for breakfast Saturday and there were only 5 other cars in the lot-and two were plow drivers taking a break. That tells you a little about the lack of travelers.

My husband and I along with two other couples just ushered in 2010 at the Meadowmere. This was the 4th year in a row and each year we find more reasons to return. I cannot say enough about the staff, the accommodations and the location. The Meadowmere is within walking distance from the Village of Ogunquit and Marginal Way. Of course, Kittery and the factory outlets are a short drive as well. The Meadowmere and its affiliation with Jonathan's Restaurant is a winning combination. All we have to do is unpack when we arrive and the rest is all taken care of. See you soon!

We are frequent guests at the Meadowmere, traveling there 2 or 3 times a year for respite. The hotels staff are professional and friendly, the grounds are truly incredible, and the facilities are top-of-the line. The rooms are fairly roomy and well-equipped- ours had a good-sized, clean refrigerator, a small but more-than-adequate TV, coffee pot, hair dryer, iron, and all of the important amentiies. The beds are comfortable, and there is a deck off of each room that is big enough for 2-3 people to sit out on. The upkeep of the facilities is top, and the bathroom and sink area in our room were excellent. The pub/dining room is a friendly place to sit by the fire or to order a drink or just sit and play games or talk. Wireless internet access in our room was excellent. The hotel facilities are superior- with a very nice spa, jacuzzi, indoor/outdoor pools, full fitness center, etc. My wife also had a wonderful massage. We love the Ogunquit area, and staying at the Meadowmere always proves to be one of the best parts of our visit!
