“Best place to unwind”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2013

We stayed three nights in room 124. Nicely appointed, very clean, and quite comfortable. It was a little cool to sit on the private balcony. But we enjoyed the enchanting ocean view just the same. The fire pit adds ambiance. Nice to have the option to eat in the pub. But if you venture out there are several nice restaurants in the immediate area. The staff is wonderful, helpful and always friendly. This was our third stay and definitely not our last. Thank you Beachmere for a wonderful stay.

We have been going to the Beachmere for the last 18 years. The location on the Marginal way is outstanding. Perfect for walking to Perkins Cove or a quick walk to the Ogunquit center. We always try to stay on the South side. The view to the Ocean with the sunrises and sunsets are unforgettable. If you like walking, food, ocean air, perfect views from any room, Beachmere is the place to go.

Room Tip: All rooms on the South side are quiet and you will enjoy the view of the main beach in the mornings...

Our one night stay was delightful. The Inn is well kept and impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the light complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. Our large room had a wonderful ocean view as well. We will be returning on our next trip to Ogunquit. Thanks for a great stay!

Although we have been visiting Ogunquit for the last 11 years, my husband and I stayed at the Beachmere Inn for the first time last weekend. We were fortunate enough to book Room 106 and I must say it was everything we hoped for. The view from our room was fantastic - we actually watched a group of 7 surfers riding the waves! Very impressive, considering it was only March 1st!

The compact kitchen was more than adequate for our needs and the continental breakfast was excellent. We're looking forward to our little winter getaway next year and you can bet it will be at the Beachmere!

I remember sitting on the beach in Ogunquit staring at the Castle across the way wishing I could be a Princess staying there some day. Well, for our 5 year anniversary my Prince made that happen. I only wonder why we waited so long,,. enduring the horrid Econolodge and the likes because we felt the Beachmere was out of our class.

The rooms were well set up, updated by not overdone, and very crisp and clean.
The ocean view cannot be contended with.
The Spa package was amazing... couples Swedish message, chocolates, a cheese and fruit plate and champagne in our room... it was well worth the trip up.
The Pub downstairs was warm and inviting , and was perfect during the storm because we did not have to drive. Good food, friendly staff, and an inviting fire. I loved it!
The hot tub was a perfect way to relax and wind down for the evening.

Even if you only ever treat yourself once - make it the Beachemere. :)

My husband and I have been going to Ogunquit for our anniversary in June for many years- for our 40th a couple years ago we stayed at the Beachmere and discovered a GEM in room 217! Last year we decided to go for Valentine's because we couldn't make it in June-It was so wonderful that we did the same thing this year!
We own four hotels in upstate NY,( Albany, Saratoga Springs and Lake George) so we can be very critical and picky. The Beachmere is wonderful from check in to check out! I love the spacious bathrooms with plenty of counter space AND heated floor tiles!!! The breakfast served every morning is delicious and on weekdays during the off-season it's delivered to your room-at the time of your choice-How perfect is that!!!
Can't wait to go back this summer...if not sooner!

A beautiful location along the Marginal Way, walking distance to shops and restaurants, great off-season rates and wonderful accommodations with a hot tube and fitness center - who could ask for more?

Room Tip: During the off-season, try and get a room with a fire place

Dear John S

Thank you for your kind review here on TripAdvisor. I'm pleased to know you not only enjoyed your stay with us but our little town of Ogunquit. Many of our guests enjoy our over sized Indoor Spa tub, a green amenity due to the salt water system we use. I hope we get to see you back in Southern Maine again. Until then, enjoy the end of winter! We're counting down the days until Spring here at the Inn!
