On a road trip with my husband we stayed at several inns/hotels, the Grand Hotel was one of our favorites. Our room was 102, what a spacious, clean suite it was. I always appreciate a balcony/porch (am not a smoker) and the balcony was great with quality adirondack chairs. A big plus was the desk clerk Phillip. When checking in he was full of information concerning the area, marking up a map as he explained. We would have missed the Marginal Walkway (within walking distance) otherwise.

Dear Rose Marie S, We are very pleased to have been part of your "road trip" and honored that you would single us out as one of your favorites. To have come to Ogunquit and leave without a walk on the stunning Marginal Way would have been a big miss and we are so pleased that Philip made sure it would become part of your memories of our beautiful town. Thank you very much for your kind review and we hope you will consider another stay with us if you should find your way back Ogunquit one day.

This is one of the best deals around. Being in scenic Ogunquit, Maine for 3 days, staying at a beautiful all suites hotel (Grand Hotel), breakfast every day AND going to the Clay Hill Farms restaurant for a romantic, delicious meal (best lobster bisque ever) and all for $249!!
I just love this get-away and look forward to it every year and I have not been disappointed yet. The Grand Hotel, although it does not have an ocean view, is perfectly located just steps away from Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way. The Marginal Way is a paved walk along the ocean with amazing views. I love the contrast of the black rocks, the blue ocean and the crashing waves. They also have a Fall get-away package. Check the website (http://thegrandhotel.com/) for further information as the prices for packages vary depending on when you go (i.e. more expensive on weekends)

Room Tip: first floor suites are less expensive and I like them better because the breakfast buffet is set up...

Our love for The Grand Hotel began with the sweet and efficient young woman who took our reservation. When we arrived, we were welcomed by an incredibly personable and accommodating staff. Our suite was lovely, impressively clean and comfortable with many charming little details that made us feel right at home. Close to Ogunquit's shops, Marginal Way and Perkins Cove, we had a wonderful stay. The Grand Hotel is definitely "our new home away from home"

From the first call to make our reservation to the moment we left the on site parking to go home, the staff could not have been more wonderful. Central to all the beauty and elegance the Ogunquit area has to offer. Walking distance to the Marginal Walk, Perkins Cove and the center of lovely Ogunquit. Comfortable, spacious suites with dreamy beds and linens.

We visited the Grand Hotel 10 years ago for our 25th anniversary and were very impressed. We weren't able to return until last week and we realized what we had been missing all these years. Our suite was immaculate and the staff was courteous, warm and welcoming. I felt like a queen staying in such a beautiful setting. By traveling off season, we were able to take advantage of the fantastic spring package. upon arrival, we enjoyed wine, cheese and crackers in our room and in the morning we had plenty to pick from for a light breakfast. The dinner at Clay Hill Farm that was included in our package was amazing. The location is ideal - only a 5 minute walk to Perkins Cove and Marginal Way. Our stay was memorable and we didn't want to go home. We are now making plans to return in the fall. We highly recommend this beautiful "Grand"hotel.

Dear Mary Ann D, We are delighted to know you were so pleased with your return to The Grand Hotel after so many years. To already be planning a fall visit this year is a very fine compliment and we thank you for it. Autumn in Ogunquit is beautiful and we think you will enjoy it as much as your Spring visit. Thank you so much for the very nice review. We look forward to welcoming you back in the Fall

We stayed at The Grand Hotel for two nights over Easter weekend in April 2014. We'd stayed at their sister property, The Pink Blossom, twice before, but wanted to try something new. The Grand Hotel is simply "grand" - perfect in every way. It's clean (very important to me), lovely, the service was friendly and efficient -- although we didn't have any problems with which to really test it! -- the underground parking is great, it's close to everything but far enough away from all the bigger hotels along the "strip,". . . just an A+ hotel. There's also a small indoor pool that my daughter and husband enjoyed.Since it was still the off season we got a terrific rate for a suite but I suspect that even at the height of the tourist season, their suites are much less expensive than the other "name" hotels and still perfectly wonderful. If it'd been warmer, I would've loved to sit on one of the porch chairs out front and watch the world go by. By the way, if you go to Perkins Cove, be sure to stop at a shop called Out of the Blue -- nothing like the other touristy shops, with wonderful handmade stuff. I almost plunked down $218 for the most stunning handbag until I came to my senses :-) Anyhow, The Grand Hotel can't be beat!

Dear Valandfam, We thank you for staying with us and for writing such a nice review. We too wish it would have warmed a bit more for your visit but it sounds like you made the most of the weather we were given. Having stayed at Pink Blossoms before, you likely know that the amenities at both properties are accessible to all of our guests. You really can have it all! We hope you will visit in the warmer weather when you CAN take advantage of the porch rockers. Thank you!

We chose to make a Friday event in Portsmouth into a long weekend at the last minute, and were lucky enough to get a good deal on a king suite. Glad we made that decision, and chose this hotel!
Our suite was on the second floor over the pool area and front desk - possibly noisy? No, not an issue at all. The room was very quiet even with the busy street and lots of foot traffic.

The room itself was super clean, everything well taken care of, only the couch was "gasp" ugly. Not a problem, just a chuckle. Plenty of room in the bedroom and living room, easy to sleep in the bedroom while others are using the TV in the living room. 2 nice large flatscreen TVs, kitchenette for making small meals or heating leftovers in the micro. Bring disposable plates, flatware etc. because there is none in the cabinets. We took our breakfast to our room with a few extra settings just in case we needed them. The only possible negative for me was that the pillows were too hard. All of them, and there were plenty. That's just my preference though.
Breakfast is served in the lobby, very good continental style, with fruit, yogurt, cereals, boiled eggs, toasted bagels, bread, muffins, danish, and coffee, tea and juice, maybe more...
All in all a very nice stay, very close to Perkins Cove, the Marginal Way, and even downtown is walkable.

Room Tip: The photos I've seen on the hotel website, and booking dot c o m are very realistic, the place i...

Dear Barbiegobyebye, It was with great pleasure that we read the review of your recent stay with us. It would seem that we were the lucky ones to have you discover us! So sorry the pillows were not to your liking. We sure wish we could find that perfect pillow that would please everyone but it seems that everyone has their own personal preference; hard, soft, fluffy, flat, etc.. We will keep searching.........

Just a thought for you; if being able to prepare light meals is something you would like to do, you might want to consider our sister property, Pink Blossoms Resort. All of the suites there have fully equipped kitchenettes, "real" plates, flatware, pots and pans, etc. They also have a nice BBQ area with grills and picnic tables. They are only 8 buildings away from The Grand and are on the same side of the street going toward the downtown area.
