We love the Juniper Hill Inn during the summer and also love it during the Fall. Same wonderful staff, wonderful and comfortable room and same perfect location. We probably won't stay anywhere else now when in Ogunquit.

Room Tip: We love the second floor, very quiet.

We have been visiting the Juniper Hill Inn for probably close to 20 years. We almost always try to stay the week between Christmas and New Years. Obviously most of the Ogunquit hotels are closed for the season, but thank goodness, this fine facility is available .The most important reason we come back, year after year, is the extreme cleanliness of this facility. We have never in all these years ever found anything needing attention. The rooms, pool, hot tub, lobby, corridors, and exterior are always in immaculate condition. We just love being in the indoor pool and hot tub on a cold, perhaps snowy day being able to look out the full wall of windows at the surroundings. The rates ,this time of year, simply can't be beat and we thank Juniper Hill for that. The staff, including the front desk and room attendants, simply can't be beat. They are always friendly, helpful and gracious.and the lobby is always beautifully decorated for Christmas.Their exceptional rates this time of year also includes a continental breakfast.
We use the Juniper Hill as a home base to explore York and Kittery Maine(outlet shops) and Portsmouth N.H.to the south and Kennebunkport,Portland and Freeport (L.L.Bean and many other outlets) to the north.Several years ago we discovered the Old Port section of Portland and their wide range of amazing shops in a restored historic section of this coastal community and cannot fail to make that a one or two day visit. There are so many and diverse shops here, all open between Christmas and New Years, that it could in fact take 2 days to visit them all.
We have eaten so many meals at the Lobster Barn(on Route 1 in York)that I feel right at home even though we live 5 hours away. We almost always eat our New Year's Eve dinner there. They have a very diverse menu.
So,if you are looking for a winter get away in a pristine and friendly environment you'll find that here at the Juniper Hill Inn and if you are willing to explore the fine coastal communities to the North and South, you will not run out of things to do, even in winter, especially if you like to shop. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We personally find that an interior room is a little better in winter if you need to frequent the po...

The motel was older, but in very good repair. The room was very clean and comfortable. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, answering all our questions about the area. We loved the rocking chairs on the patio and the inviting lobby. We used the guest laundry and found it to be well maintained. We enjoyed our stay there and if ever in that area again, will definitely stay there.

Location is great, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. The problem? They insist on making a hard physical copy of your credit card to keep behind the desk...even though they electronically swipe your card on arrival, they still want a hard copy. As someone who has had their card numbers stolen, I am sensitive to having that kind of material laying around behind the check-in desk. I asked to not have my card copied in this way---too bad---that's the policy. In spite of all the good Juniper hill has to offer, it might be tough to return knowing in advance how they handle this issue.

This was a wonderful hotel. Our room was excellent. It has been furnished with no expense spared with lovely decoration and furniture.
Our room was large and roomy with a kichenette area and modern bathroom. It is in a lovely landscaped setting and although on a road it was nice and quiet.
It has a lovely pool area (although we didn't use it as it was out of season) and from the gardens there is a path that leads down to the harbor. This is where we saw the cute resident chipmonks who scamper around the woods.
The breakfast is served in a separate building and although it isn't a cooked breakfast everything was fresh and tasty.
But most of all the staff here were really nice and friendly and were genuinely wanting to help with enquiries etc.
It is an excellent location not far from the village centre.
I would definitely return Hopefully in the not to distant future)
