This is a beautiful resort, very nice sized rooms, clean and very convenient to the downtown area (walking distance to many shops and great restaurants). The outside pool area is well maintained and quiet.

Room Tip: some rooms have porches/chairs and some do not - request your preference

Notwithstanding the name, this place is not an inn - it's just a run-of-the mill motel in a beach town, and not espcially close to the beach. Prior to arriving at Juniper Hill, we had spent three days at a real inn that was wonderful, and were hoping for a similar experience here. Instead, we were disappointed to find a roadside motel with nothing special about it. The included breakfast was so sad that we opted to go find breakfast somewhere else. On the positive side, the room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable.

What a great place for families!!! Our family of 5 spent one night here over July 4th weekend. The pathway to Ogunquit Beach was the best, as it leads you right to the beach bridge and you don't have to walk with the masses of other people walking to the beach from the town area. We had back pack chairs and saw other families using beach buggies. It's a solid 10 minute walk, but just lovely as it's off the main road area. We stayed in a room in the main building. Super clean! The breakfast building next to the pool area was also clean and had the usual continental foods. Since we are a family of 5 it was a GREAT value for us. Not having to leave the Inn to get coffee and bagels was ideal. The pool area was just lovely! Towels are provided in the main lobby. The 2 pools, small hot tub, and gorgeous landscaping just made it such a relaxing place to come to after a long day at the beach. We come to Ogunquit every year and have stayed at the Norseman, the Aspinquid, the Neptune, and the Sparhawk Inn (best ocean front view of them all). From now on we will only be making reservations at the Juniper Hill Inn Hotel. It's a hidden gem!

The location is good, not far to walk to town. We enjoyed our walks to the beach. The rooms are exceptionally clean and updated. This was our third visit and we hope to spend time there again next year.

The Juniper Hill Inn has a resort feel to it. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, comfortable and relaxed.

A 10 minute walk takes you over the river bridge to Ogunquit beach. From the Hotel you can walk a few miles (1/2 hour ) to Perkins Cove / Marginal way or down the beach to Moody/ Wells . There is a nice tiny grocery on the corner for food or coffees that opens at 6:30 am. Check out the Cove Cafe (Perkins Cover) or Afredo's or Seacoast Pizza (Wells on the post road) where you are made to feel like family.

Inclement weather? Not to worry. The hallways were wide and you could hang out in comfy chairs or on a window seat reading a book. The indoor or outdoor pools & breakfast were great. I enjoyed hanging out with the other guests on the porch watching the storm go by and making alternate plans. In fact, the other guests at the hotel was part of the charm. I felt like I was on a vacation with extended family.

You can park your car and not worry about wresting with traffic. Trolleys run summertime about 10am to 10pm costing $2.00 per person. The towns of Ogunquit and Wells seem to be arguing and trolleys do not share information with each other or connect very well. It seems silly that the trolleys would not all carry trolley maps of each area to help tourists connect. If you ask them where they go and how often they come people from Maine will say something like "it gets hea when it gets hea, and it leaves when it leaves" or "you can't get thea from hea". :-)

My only wish is that I could go more often. If it was a tiny bit less expensive I would go more often. It was over $500.00 for two days for us to including the $30.00 extra fee for children. I realize that I am what the locals would think of as "the rif raf" but our family has been coming to Moody Beach/ Ogunquit for generations and the Juniper Inn made me feel part of the family. Thankyou!

We go to Ogunquit every year for a few days and have stayed at several different motels. I was there recently for a girls night and noted how close Juniper Hill was to the center of town so made a point to stay there on my husband and my annual trip. The rates were higher but it was well worth it to stay walking distance to all the shops, dining and bars. We really enjoyed the 2 outdoor pools and hot tub, they have an indoor pool but we didn't use it. They are about a 15 minute walk down to the beach. The rooms were very clean and nicely done, the best I have seen in the area. The continental breakfast w/ the rate was excellent and convenient as well.
The Juniper Hill is definitely our new go to hotel for our yearly trips, I highly recommend it.

I recently stayed at the Juniper Hill Inn and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms were very clean and the staff very gracious and accommodating. The pathway to go down to the beach was awesome and totally unexpected. The pools were very clean, the continental breakfast was awesome and the grounds are very well kept. It is a very short walk from the facility to downtown and when you get back you can rest and relax in the adarondack chairs outside. Highly recommend Juniper Hill Inn. I plan on returning in September
