“Wonderful restaurant with view of the ocean”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

My wife and I were in Ogunquit and wanted to try a different place for dinner. Something a little nicer than the greasy fish and lobster places but not somewhere that would break the bank. While walking on Shore Rd we saw a sign for the Surf Point Grill at the Anchorage Hotel and
stopped to take a peek at the menu and location.

The menu was a nice variety of seafood and appetizers along with enough other choices that non-seafood lovers would easily find something to eat. The restaurant itself is located in the middle of the property with a nice view of the ocean and includes indoor, partially indoor and a few outdoor tables.

We sat at an outdoor table with a nice view and some gas burning torches to set the mood. We both ordered seafood (my wife had scallops and I ate an Asian seafood medley). Both were tasty and more than sufficient to fill us both up. Our server was attentive and helped us with our meal choices.

My only concern upon entering the restaurant was that the open area we were seated in might be loud from children/families using the resort but we never heard a thing.

We go to Ogunquit each year and will definitely be back to eat at the Surf Point.

Nice to find a non-touristy restaurant in a touristy place like Ogunquit.

“this is the typical pool bar”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

Had lunch here recently. This place is basically a pool restaurant. The lobster was fresh. The French fries were ok.

“At the Anchorage By the Sea hotel- good ambience”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

We were staying at Anchorage By the Sea and ate at the Surf Point Grill twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Food is very good. Eggs Benedict one morning, scrumptious. Filet Mignon for the dinner (a change from all the seafood we had been eating while in Ogunquit). Nicely done & served. Wait staff friendly. The restaurant overlooks the Ogunquit Beach – a nice setting. Good marguerites from the bar.

“Delicious Meal, Awesome Setting”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

We were greeted by the manager of the restaurant. She asked if we had reservations ... thought we were doomed. We said no but she managed to squeeze us in and we had a lovely table. My husband had the special for the evening which was a lobster roll, haddock and FF for about $18. Yes, $18. Can't beat that price. I had Shrimp and Lobster Scampi priced at about $23 - again, very reasonably priced and it was delicious. Nice atmosphere ... nice, casual, not stuffy.
