My wife and I were in Ogunquit and wanted to try a different place for dinner. Something a little nicer than the greasy fish and lobster places but not somewhere that would break the bank. While walking on Shore Rd we saw a sign for the Surf Point Grill at the Anchorage Hotel and
stopped to take a peek at the menu and location.
The menu was a nice variety of seafood and appetizers along with enough other choices that non-seafood lovers would easily find something to eat. The restaurant itself is located in the middle of the property with a nice view of the ocean and includes indoor, partially indoor and a few outdoor tables.
We sat at an outdoor table with a nice view and some gas burning torches to set the mood. We both ordered seafood (my wife had scallops and I ate an Asian seafood medley). Both were tasty and more than sufficient to fill us both up. Our server was attentive and helped us with our meal choices.
My only concern upon entering the restaurant was that the open area we were seated in might be loud from children/families using the resort but we never heard a thing.
We go to Ogunquit each year and will definitely be back to eat at the Surf Point.
Nice to find a non-touristy restaurant in a touristy place like Ogunquit.
