Roost offered distinctive food in a quiet and charming setting. My family has differing preferences in terms of food and everyone found something they enjoyed that was also reasonably priced.

“Anniversary dinner to remember.”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

We rented a nearby condo and Roost was recommended by the owners. We chose to spend our anniversary dinner here. It was fabulous from start to finish. The white and blue farmhouse is attractive on the outside and beautifully decorated on the inside. It has a French country feel to it. The reception was warm and the hostess showed us to a cozy table in the front dining room. The lighting is romantic. We enjoyed a bottle of sparkling wine and some clam chowder to start. Both were excellent. Our entrees were fabulous. We got the butter poached lobster and the ravioli. The server was attentive and had a good sense of humor. We opted to skip dessert in favor walking to Perkins Cove for ice cream. My husband had a nice conversation with the owners on the way out. I highly recommend Roost for a special evening!

“Go to the Roost”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

We enjoyed savory cocktails and dinner while dining at the bar at the Roost. The staff was very friendly. We went there in 2013 and could not wait to try it again in August of 2014. It's a "must" place to drink and or eat if you are in Ogunquit.

“Delicious”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

My husband, his parents and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. We had reservations and were promptly seated. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the black bean soup for an appetizer. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. I had the Cuban pork for my entree which was also very good.

The drinks were stiff and reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back.

“Delicious evening!”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

Our B&B hosts recommended this gem, a bit south of town. Because you need a car to get there it wasn't as crowded as it should have been, given the varied menu and excellent quality. At our B&B hosts' suggestion, we sat in the bar area, giving us access to the wonderful, creative bar appetizers and the delicious dinner entrees. Carson, the very pleasant bar tender, has also invented some delicious cocktails! We got 4 different entrees and were very pleased with all of them. Wish we lived closer to Ogunquit - we'd eat there often!!
