“Cozy B&B- perfect honeymoon choice!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2011

There could not have been a more perfect choice of accommodations than Gazebo Inn for our honeymoon. We were looking for someplace with a new-england type feel, in an ocean side town that was GLBT friendly (lesbian couple). Gazebo Inn fit the bill to a T! Our room had so much quaint character and boasted beautiful wood beams, an amazingly comfortable king sized bed, a 2 person jacuzzi tub AND a steam room! The common areas were very welcoming and the other guests made for great conversation over the delicious breakfasts that Scott, Peter and staff cooked for us every morning.

Inn keeper's Scott and Bruce, along with manager Peter made countless recommendations on places to visit and restaurants to try during our stay and never once were we disappointed.

I would absolutely recommend Gazebo Inn to a friend. If you are looking for a cozy, gay-friendly get away in Ogunquit, look no further.

While you are there, don't miss the Gazebo Inn's 5,000 gallon outdoor salt-water hot pool, the couple's massage, and lastly- don't miss the freshly baked scones!

Room Tip: I am sure any room would be just as comfortable, but we specifically stayed in King 2.

The romantic magic that Scott and Bruce have created inspired me to both get engaged at Gazebo as well as spend my honeymoon there. From the greeting at the door, they wouldn't let me touch my luggage to the chocolate dipped strawberries that I spontaneously ordered to the ice cold sparkling wine and champagne they keep on hand, just in case you want a glass or bottle by the custom hot tub with mini-waterfall they designed and build for this summer.

Did I mention the breakfast? Different each day, the white chocolate scones are worth price of admission alone. . The Neapolitan pizza next door can't be beat and the Thai restaurant about a mile away beats any I've had in Boston (not saying much for Boston).

The beach is a short drive away or just take the bus service that stops right in front of Gazebo. Ogunquit beach is one of my favorite in New England including Cape Cod (over-rated as is Nantucket); however, the Gazebo inn pool side was so relaxing that half the week we didn't even bother to leave.

I haven't even gone into the in-room spa that each Barn room has built-in with a steam shower, dual hot tub and four side shower heads with a rain shower coming down on you. I spend most of the week trying to convince my wife to buy house, so I could re-create the bathroom.

The only danger is the possibility that you fall so madly in love that leaving is torture.

Room Tip: There is no bad room at the inn. Though if you have kids, the Barn rooms are probably not for you (k...

We had two rooms - the barn suite and suite #10. The rooms were some of the very nicest we've ever seen. Scott, Pete and Lorenzio were great hosts. We had a great time and would highly recommend this B&B. Great stay - great breakfast - great hosts. Thanks! -Vacationers from Idaho

While it's not as upscale as Kennebunkport, Ogunquit has a better beach (probably the best in Maine) and the spectacular Marginal Way walk. The Gazebo Inn is a great place to stay while seeing these attractions and others in the area. The Inn itself has been built in and around an old barn. It features modern, unique rooms that are very clean and well appointed. The bigger rooms in the "barn" area are particularly nice. The outside garden, pool, and hot tub are also beautiful and well taken care of. Breakfasts are made from local ingredients. If you have a chance to meet the owner, he will tell you about the Inn's transformation from a dilapidated barn and give you great suggestions for restaurants and activities. The only negative is that the Inn is not directly on the beach or Marginal Way, but this is a minor quibble compared to the ambience and reasonable prices.

Room Tip: If you are willing to spend more, go for a "barn" room although all rooms are nice.

My wife and I are not "B&B regulars", but we did have rather high expectations. The numerous reviews about this property seemed too good to be true. There was NO disappointment at all. The staff and facilities were absolutely perfect for a 3 day get-away. The champagne and strawberries made our welcome very special on our first adults-only "getaway" in a few years. The spa treatments erased the tensions of the "real-world" and the local attractions helped us to rekindle our wonderful life together. Don't forget to request your bag of scones for the trip home - they were super yummy! Thanks for a great visit.

Room Tip: The Barn Suites were very spacious and quiet. The features of the room were very complete.

We booked the honeymoon package (5 nights in Barn Suite 5, 3 meals included at local restaurants with ride in mercedes limo, 2 dozen red roses in room, and lots of other little perks). It was a great deal! SO nice to see the owners and manager have such a passion for what they do....and it shows. On top of that the area was beautiful (beaches, lighthouses, sailing, hiking, shopping, Ben and Jerry's ice cream) all within 1-20 minutes from the Inn. The staff was welcoming and instantly made us feel comfortable and spoiled rotten. The scones were AMAZING to add to the rest. Can't say enough great things about this place. It was our first time to Maine and don't think the experience would have been as great anywhere else!

Room Tip: All are great but the best of the best is in Barn Suite 5...2 person hot tub, steam shower, 2 way fi...

We are/have been retired for over ten years and have spent most of that time doing a bit of traveling here and there. For the past three years, we have spent a week in early October at a B & B that has literally become a piece of paradise for us! And, a very important part of this paradise experience is our stay at the Gazebo Inn! Both the ambience and local of the Inn, the fabulous services available including a most delicious full breakfast buffet each morning. and most important the most amazing staff that oversees this amazing facility! This B & B is a treasure to behold and experience!!

Room Tip: We love the Barn suite!
