“One of the top 3 places we ever stayed”
Reviewed 5 October 2012

We were in Ogunquit off season and had stayed one night at the mediocre Juniper Hill Inn. On a whim we drove by the Gazebo Inn and, not knowing anything about it, stopped by to see if they had any vacancies. Luckily for us, they had just one and they even gave us a sharply discounted rate. From beginning to end the experience of this place was just a total joy. The entire property was renovated beautifully, just gorgeous. We really appreciated that the owners took the time to walk us around the whole house, chitchat a little, and offer advice on how to use our limited time in town most efficiently. Our room -- "Queen 9" didn't look like it would be much from the outside, but when we walked in our mouths dropped. We've stayed in 4 or 5 star hotels that weren't up to this standard. It felt like staying in an interior decorator's personal home. The mattress and linens were extremely comfortable, and the even the bathroom was like a spa.

The next morning's breakfast was just over the top. If you tried everything, you'd easily gain 10 lbs. They served cinnamon french toast, waffles, Canadian bacon, eggs and chives, freshly baked scones, and I don't even know how many different kinds of coffee. Aside from the variety, the quality was terrific. Except for one B&B in Florence, I can't think of any place we ever stayed where we enjoyed the meal that much.

The only bad thing about the Gazebo Inn was realizing we had to check out right after breakfast, and we hadn't had time to take advantage of their many other services such as booking a massage or hanging out in the hot tub. A good reason to come back again! Highly, highly recommended.

Room Tip: You really can't go wrong with any room in this establishment!

My husband and I just recently spent our "mini"-moon at the Gazebo Inn. We had been one before for a New Year's weekend getaway, a couple of years ago. We knew right away that this we would be 'our spot'. For our first visit we stayed in Barn Suite 2, which we absolutely loved! We were a bit disappointed that it wasn't available for our honeymoon stay - but we were certainly not disappointed with the suite we were appointed - the Woodbury Dixon suite. Everything done here is done to perfection. We took full advantage of every luxury offered from the hot tub, to massages - and we made sure to purchase a sheet set for our home before leaving! We will return (again & again!)! Jeff & Nicole Murray

This place is off the beaten path (slightly) in Ogunquit, meaning that it is not in the very center of town. For us, that was a good thing! The staff is very attentive and Peter's breakfasts are extraordinary! Loved, loved, loved the white chocolate and cranberry scones and wish I had stolen some to take home! The staff is health conscious and so we ate well but healthy! (A rarity at B&B's!) Scott went out of his way to stay after hours to make sure he was there when we arrived. The pool and hot tub are lovely (Warm in September!) and the linens in the rooms are wonderful! A truly lovely stay and excellent value for the money. Walk to a lovely, quiet beach in the morning and avoid the tourist mess at Perkin's Cove!

I planned a surprise trip for my husband and we were both blown away. Scott and Peter did a great job explaining the history of the Inn and showed us all around (they really think of everything)! The hospitality, beautiful decor, attention to detail and ultimate luxury we found at the Gazebo Inn was just so incredible! The rain shower and two person soaking tub were both so awesome, we wish we had those at home! We loved breakfast it was so delicious! It was the perfect stay to relax and unwing, we will be staying again! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Even after reading the 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor, we were still pleasantly surprised by the Gazebo Inn! We stayed in Barn Suite #3 and it's just fabulous. The attention to detail is impressive - from the decor to the high-tech amenities (built-in stereo with iPod hook-up, etc) to the most amazing bathroom ever! It's worth staying here just for the shower :-) The bed was incredibly comfortable and the sheets divine. I read many reviews about the sheets and ended up buying a set upon check out. They are incredible and I'm so glad to have a bit of the Gazebo Inn at home.

Our hosts were friendly, helpful, and always there when we needed them. Our stay began with Peter giving us a thorough tour of the property. He clearly loves his job and is proud of the wonderful renovations. Peter then impressed us with his pancake and waffle making abilities at breakfast :-)

Scott is a terrific host and really understands hospitality. Well done!

We took the massage class (2 hours) and it was well worth the time! In fact, we wished we booked the 3 hour class. It was fun and informative. Amber was a terrific teacher!

Room Tip: Barn suite #3 was amazing!

we have been visiting at the Gazebo Inn for 6 years. It is by far the best bed & breakfast we have stayed at. They have missed no detail, everything is perfect. We love the barn suites and recommend them to everyone we know. Instead of having a big party my 50th, I decided that I wanted to have all my close family and friends spend a weekend with us at the Gazebo. The remember your name, your kids names, they become family from the first visit. My only reservation in giving this review is that I may not be able to get my room when I want it!!! :) Scott, Bruce and Peter will take good care of you, without a doubt! Everytime we drive up Route 1 and take the left hand turn into the parking lot, we feel like we are home again!

Room Tip: barn suite 1 and 5 are awesome

This is a spectacular inn. The hospitality was never wavering, and Scott and Peter, and the whole staff here made us feel like old friends. We will return again knowing this gem exists. They made our stay as pampered as we could have hoped for. Their website really is exact and what you see is what you get.

Room Tip: Spend a few dollars more and enjoy the Barn Suites, they are gorgeous!!!
