“NEVER disappointed with my stay here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2013

My reivew is a bit overdue .. sorry Scott, Bruce, & Peter. You deserve to have all your happy guests rave about the wonderful job you do and the amazing escape that you provide to couples and families! I don't know how anyone can rate this place other than EXCELLENT!!!! I recently returned from a stay at the Hartstone Inn Hideaway in Camden, ME, which is part of what prompted me to write this review. As nice of a place as it was, it could not compare to the Gazebo Inn!! My husband and I stayed in King 5 at the Gazebo, back over New Year's Eve. Several family and friends also stayed at the Inn. King 5 is in a fabulous location. It has a door that opens right into the back patio/pool and hot tub area, and it is also near the breakfast area. (I will say that we could hear noises in the room next door - snoring - and noise from upstairs - footsteps. So, if you're sensitive to noise, you may want to bring your earplugs or choose a different room.) The single person jacuzzi tub was great and the shower can accommodate two people. I could write for days about all of the things I adore about this place, but I'll just share a few this time, so I can have something to write about after my next stay! Clean clean clean! Best scones anywhere! Comfortable and inviting common rooms to enjoy with your family and friends!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are fabulous, and you can enjoy all of the Inn's amenities regardless of the ro...

My husband and I have frequented many inn's all over the country in our 20+ years of marriage and have yet to stay at any that were as wonderful as this one!! The rooms are exquisitely decorated, the hosts are amazing, breakfast is beyond compare, spa services are excellent....I could go on and on. Suffice it to say that this is our absolute favorite inn for a couple's getaway and plan on returning here over and over again:-). We highly recommend this place to every couple looking for a wonderful getaway!

The inn was recommended to me by a dear friend. I wanted a relaxing weekend getaway for my husband and I and the Gazebo Inn was the perfect choice. We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality and attention to detail that Scott, Peter, and the entire staff at the inn provided. We pulled into the lot for check in and were instantly greeted by the staff and given a tour. There was a daily breakfast that met everyone's needs and beyond. Wine was available as needed. Not to mention the stunning, private grounds and restaurants in walking distance. We had a phenomenal time and are looking forward to a future stay at the inn.. Hopefully sooner than later :-)

From the moment you walk in ,till the time you leave, you will be spoiled. The friendly Inn keepers give you a tour & check you in. The rooms are beautiful. We have stayed in many area B&B's and none , I mean none, can compare to the elegance of this Inn! WE can not wait till we stay with them again. This Inn gets an A++ ! If you desire a get- away in a romantic Inn, with every thing you could think of ,this is a place for you !!! Book it early, Summers fill up fast !!!

Room Tip: Choose any of the BARN SUITES ,there our favorite!

This was our second stay at the Inn and once again we weren't disappointed! Our first stay was a postponed visit since we weren't able to get a room several months before. In fact we had to wait almost 6 months to get reservations! It was worth the wait! From the friendly welcome and individualized tour of the premises to the delicious breakfast cooked fresh every morning, Scott and Peter don't miss a beat. They've got what it takes to make your stay something special. Our most recent stay was spent in suite 10...again nothing was spared in the design of this suite. The bathroom (mini spa is a better term) with the double Jacuzzi and double shower with it's multiple jets was a treat after spending the days shopping in nearby Kittery and Freeport. The kitchenette, is stocked with a Keurig and a rack of K-cups, a microwave and a full size refrigerator to keep leftovers from all the wonderful restaurants in the area. Oh and not to worry about having to think about making that reservation, Peter's got it covered. And speaking of Peter, did I mention those wonder breakfasts he has ready for you every morning. This time all we needed to do was open our door to get the aroma of fresh baked scones (deadly, since you can't just eat one!). And you can even take a bit of the Inn home with you, just ask the night before you leave and you can order a dozen (or more) scones to take home to all those folks who didn't get to come. We can't wait for our next visit.

Room Tip: It's up to you, depends on what your are looking for all rooms are comfortable, clean and welcom...

We had secretly eloped in a small town in Southern NH, dropped the marriage announcements in the mail on the way out of town, and whisked ourselves away to The Gazebo Inn for our honeymoon! Scott greeted us with congratulations the second we pulled in the drive and Peter gave us a thorough tour of the property so we felt right at home. We had planned our "reception" dinner at one of local restaurants; however prior to our arrival Peter had called to confirm and the restaurant was unable to locate our reservation for that night! Turns out, the restaurant had just spelled our name incorrectly, but Scott assured us with no uncertain terms, that whatever it took, we were going to have our celebratory dinner, at that restaurant, at 7pm, exactly as we had planned and he would see to it. We knew right then and there that we had made the perfect choice in selecting this inn. And we were certain even BEFORE the fantastic breakfast each morning, the bedding to die for, the steam shower, the limo rides, the champagne, roses, chocolates and wine glasses in our room on our arrival AND the superb attention to detail that Scott and Peter showed in everything they did. We will be back every year for our anniversary without a doubt!

Room Tip: Don't pass up the scones! We took a dozen home to our 9 year old daughter who devoured them in...

This is an Inn like no other. We just got back from our weekend adventure. There is a sign when you walk in that says "come as strangers, leave as friends". That is exactly how it felt. I cannot sum it all up in a simple review. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you feel like family. The room was exquisite, the beds are unreal (600 thread count), the property is gorgeous... We didn't want to leave the hotel. I recommend the romance package...great deal. Limo ride to dinner both nights, only pay for alcohol and tip. Chocolate covered strawberries in the room, a bottle of wine, and two commemorative glasses to remember a spectacular weekend. The breakfast is homemade and served in an informal setting. You feel like you are having breakfast at a family member's house. We can't wait to return and if you want a great vacation...who cares about tropics...go here in the summer and you will not be dissatisfied.
