Enjoyed a friend's birthday at Cafe Prego Ogunquit on the night of Thursday, 8/14. We did not make a reservation and arrived at peak time. Although informed of a 30 minute wait we were in fact seated on the front patio in merely 10 minutes. Our server Marlon gave us excellent, courteous and cheerful service, and we enjoyed the excellent pizza del giorno (a succulent sausage thin crust pizza), which proved so abundantly delectable and memorable that we found ourselves grinning ear-to-ear from the savory flavors. We also thoroughly enjoyed the delightful chilled watermelon soup, and the eggplant lasagna wowed. Although valiant in our efforts to clean our plates, we could muster no strength (or room) and passed on the desserts. All of the attendant staff proved delightful, professional, and polite to us from the busing staff to the hosts. Upon our next trip to Ogunquit we look forward to a return trip to the Cafe Prego!

We were a party of 4 with quick seating even those they were very busy. Had a baked haddock with a linguini and topped off the meal with a mix of gelatos, sea salt caramel and dark chocolate.

Thank you for your visit to Caffe Prego, and for your wonderful review on Trip Advisor. You enjoyed one of our entree favorites at the Caffe, the haddock piccata, something we added to the menu several years ago to resounding success. We are pleased you enjoyed the gelato (that sounds like a delicious combo). We make all of our gelatos in house, and one of our owners studied at "Gelato University" located in Bologna, Italy. We look forward to the opportunity to delight you once again

Food very good, location is right in town (central), can dine outside in nice weather. One can take the trolley to the restaurant - it's right on the route.

Thank you for your four-star review on Trip Advisor prompted by your recent visit to Caffe Prego. You are correct- we are centrally located, right in the heart of downtown Ogunquit and our elevated patio is a great spot to people watch while you sit and enjoy a frothy cappuccino. In addition, we have our own parking- always a bonus when attempting to dine in the busy summertime months. We see you again during your next visit to Ogunquit

good food and service but their gelato and pizza kick butt. Their pasta is average but overall this is a lovely restaurant.

Thank you for your recent visit and for your brief, interesting but good to great review on Trip Advisor. I agree- the pizza does "kick butt", but I think that the next time you are in Ogunquit, you should give the pasta another try. Most guests feel that they are also of kick-butt quality. We look forward to your next visit and the opportunity of serving you again.

We visited Caffe Prego on the last day of our beach vacation - we were all seafood-ed out and this Italian food really hit the spot! While the childrens' menu wasn't vast (just pasta... with marinara or butter) - our 2 year old LOVED the pasta... and our 5 year old enjoyed a full meal (a mozzarella and tomato panini) - he ate the entire thing and kept telling us how delicious it was and what good basil it was :)

My husband and I both had the special - bolognese with pasta - IT WAS FANTASTIC. It reminded me of the same dish in Italy - complete with fresh peas.

We ate outside and even though it was chilly out - the heaters made it comfortable - and kind of cool that we could sit outside and still be warm.

Try the granita! Pineapple was delicious - the little ice - mmmmmm.

Thank you for your visit, and for taking the time to write a great review on Trip Advisor. As a father of a four-year-old, I know that sometimes finding menu items for the kids can often be a challenge. We always do are best to make sure children are happy at Caffe Prego-happy kids make happy parents. While it is true that we don’t have what would be considered a huge “kids menu”, we have a lot to offer children at the Caffe: Pastas dishes especially for kids with choices of toppings and sauces, excellent pizza, and many sandwiches such as the mozzarella and tomato that your five-year-old enjoyed the evening of your visit. We also have games and coloring books while they wait, and of course, our house made gelato. We have a lot to offer parents too- we are thrilled to hear that the Bolognese you enjoyed reminded you of Italy. We appreciate your patronage, and look forward to you next visit.
