I had a most relaxing time. Bev and Scott are perfect hosts who seem to know what you need before you do! The Inn is spotlessly clean and charmingly decorated in a cozy country motif with a whimsical touch. The bed was very comfortable and sleeping was easy because it is so quiet.

The grounds are littered with beautiful flowers and you have your choice of rocking on the front porch, lounging on the patio near the fire pit, or sitting in the shade next to the waterfall. Activities abound. Whether you want to shop, dine, swim, or walk along the coast, it is all a short distance away,

Scott also offers sailboat outings on "GOOSE" for a very reasonable fee. If you've never sailed on the ocean, this is your chance! Don't miss it!

My wife and I vacation ever year in Ogunquit. Each time we try a different bed and breakfast hoping to find "one". We found it at the Yardarm Inn. Scott and Bev are like visiting old friends. Everything is comfortable and homey. The Inn is tucked just off the main road to Perkins Cove, which is perfect and quiet. A couple minute walk in either direction gets you to the action. The rooms are on the small side but equipped with all the essentials. You won't find a cleaner place. A great value for the price. We have already planned another trip up this summer. Don't forget to try a private sale on the "Goose"....Rob & Kim

Room Tip: Rooms are small but extremely clean. A great value for the price.

We had a memorable vacation this June. This is the second time we have stayed at the Yardarm and Bev and Scott greeted us like returning family. The inn is cozy, the rooms are beyond comfortable and the beds are sooo wonderful! It is just a quick walk to Perkins Cove, restaurants and the village of Ogunquit. The location could not be better. The blueberry muffin breakfast was delightful and we were able to eat in their cafe style dining area as well as on the front porch or patio. We will be back again!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yardarm and hosts Bev and Scott were so welcoming that it wasnt long before it felt like home. The room was fine though a little small when you have 2 large suitcases to store somewhere. However, this is what we expected from a New England guesthouse so we were not disappointed. Im sure that Bev and Scott would have stored them somewhere if we had asked.
This was the only slight negative with the 10 day stay. Wonderful quiet location just 5 mins walk from Perkins Cove. Super seafood restaurants a short walk away. Lovely walks along the Ogunquit coast.
We dont understand the negative feedback on breakfast. We asked for toasted bread or English muffins the mornings we didnt want bluebery muffins and this was no problem whatsoever. With the fresh fruit every morning we enjoyed the healthy start to the day.

Overall a lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to people.

Thanks Bev and Scott. Keep up the good work!

We had the pleasure of spending a week at the Yardarm this past May. It was our first visit to the Inn and my wife's first visit to Maine. We had anticipated arriving on a Monday, planning two days for our drive from Virginia to Maine, but we got ahead and ended up arriving in one day. Prior to getting to Maine we called the Inn to see if they could accommodate us a day early and they were gracious enough to have us come in that Sunday evening.

From the moment we arrived Bev and Scott welcomed us like we had been there many times before. It was like seeing good friends again. Our room which was a suite was very nicely appointed and offered more than enough room for us to relax when we were not out and about. The bed was absolutely awesome. Better than any bed we have slept in including the one at our home. The Inn's furnishing were beautiful and matched the architectural period of the Inn.

Each morning we went downstairs and were greeted with wonderful fresh muffins and fruit, coffee and tea. We decided to eat each breakfast on the spacious and inviting front porch where we were able to get a glimpse of the ocean. On the couple of days we decided to venture out of Ogunquit Scott was kind enough to help plot our route by providing maps and giving great suggestions of places to stop, shop and eat.

The location of the Yardarm is perfect. Walking distance from Perkins Cove and downtown. We walked more on this vacation than any other and it was great to be able to leave the car and enjoy the scenery while on foot. Some evenings we decided on a bottle of wine from the Yardarm store. The variety of wines is very good and the prices were on the mark. Not inflated as one might expect and find at other places.

As for the worst part of our experience...the end of vacation. It was difficult the final morning to pack things up and prepare to travel back to Virginia. For a week we felt relaxed and amongst friends. The beauty of the Yardarm, the hospitality of Bev and Scott and the reasonable rates made this the best vacation we have experienced in years. The upside is planning our return next May when we will again make our vacation home at the Yardarm. This is a great B&B and we encourage those interested in a restful and beautiful vacation to stay at the Yardarm.

Its always time for a 'drink' at the Yardarm village inn, whether it be unlimited coffee on the front porch in the morning, a relaxing afternoon glass of wine on the porch or by the firepit / patio, or a cocktail in the evening. The 'YVI' (Yardarm Village Inn) is a very cozy , well maintained building that is tastefully decorated giving one the feeling of a seashore cottage. We stayed in room ten on the first floor just outside the sitting room with gas fireplace that was lit every morning for the guests to enjoy. The room was roomy , quiet, with a TV in the bedroom and one in the sitting room, small refrigerator, plenty of drawer space, ample lighting and a private bath with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was between 8am and 10 am, but during our stay all the guests were together having coffee and muffins along with a dish of fresh fruit at around 8am. As if it isn't enough to enjoy a beautiful morning facing the sun rising, with hot coffee and delicious muffins served to you on the porch, it was very nice to engage in conversation not only with Scott and Bev( the inn keepers) but the friendly guests that shared breakfast time with us. The character of the YVI and its guests is a reflection of the dedication and love that Scott and Bev put into making their guests stay and pleasant and comfortable as can be. It was easy to tell that they love what they are doing.
Lest I forget, The YVI is perfectly located, slightly off the beaten path but within walking distance of Perkins Cove, Marginal Way and downtown Ogunquit. if you are an early riser, don't miss the sunrise at Perkins Cove( even if the coffee shop isn't open at 6am) :)
Our only regret about our first stay at the YVI is that it was only for two nights but we are sure it wont be our last stay.

Thank you Scott and Bev for a wonderful getaway.

Room Tip: the mattress and pillows were softer than I prefer in room 10
