Thank you tripadvisor! Having visited but never staying in Ogunquit I relied on your reviews to decide where to stay. The Inn is located in the heart of the village, but located at the top of the hill so you have the illusion you are no where near the busy village. We arrived parked the car and never got back in it until we left four days later. Within walking distance to the beach and marginal way less than ten minutes away. The restaurants we visited were within walking distance for us, but the trolley stop is at the bottom of the hill if you are interested in that route of travel.

The inn was immaculate, and we appreciated the little touches. There was ice tea by the pool daily, sunscreen by the pool in case you forgot yours, and the backpack beach chairs were greatly appreciated.

Our room, although small, was certainly large enough for the little time we spent in it! The linens and the mattresses were heavenly. The truffles on the bed on arrival were way better than a mint. The small refrigerator was a nice touch even for freezing ice packs for the cooler we took to the beach.

The pool and hot tub were clean and very welcoming. Even the rainy day was perfect as we lounged and got an opportunity to get to know the other guests.

Breakfast was a carb lovers dream. So if I needed to find something that I like the least, it would be that sausage was served three mornings in a row. I was looking forward to the bacon and scrambled eggs their web page mentioned. The blueberry pancakes, cinnamon french toast, and waffles were delicious but the scones were to die for! There were hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, and cereal each morning.

We are avid Ritz Carlton travellers and never stayed in an inn before. The service here blows away any top hotel. We felt right at home with Bruce as the most pleasant and accomodating manager. The room was quiet and clean and staff and guests were friendly to our dog. The food was amazing and consisent. Staying at 2VS feels how a home should feel, but only better.

My wife and I stayed at 2 Village Square on our first trip to Maine in July 2011. We read a ton of reviews about places in Ogunquit and were concerned because everything nice seemed to be booked the dates we wanted. We were just about to give up when we tripped upon the listing for 2 Village Square and we are so thrilled that we did. Our room was King 12 overlooking the pool on the third floor. The entire inn including the room is extremely modern, clean, very well decorated and has a very premium feel, yet still very comfortable. Not kitschy like other B&Bs - this felt much more upscale and modern but inside a traditional New England beach house. The owners and manager made you feel right at home. They were very warm and inviting, made great restaurant recommendations, did whatever they could to accommodate our needs, and made the stay a real pleasure. The pool is beautiful and very private. The breakfasts were amazing. Buffet style with delicious scones, waffles, blueberry pancakes, yum! And the location can't be beat! Right across the street from the main town intersection, with lots of restaurants, shops, ice cream shops, and the trolley stop to Perkins Cove. And about a 7-minute walk from the beach (saves you the expense of parking at the beach). Amazing porch with ocean views where you can eat breakfast or sip your coffee. The only caution is that it's on a steep hill and our room was on the third floor, so there were a lot of steps. But as long as you're in decent shape the payoff (awesome ocean views, privacy) is absolutely worth it. And the value you get for the price is really great - not much more to pay than a basic motel in Ogunquit but so much nicer. I only wish we could go back soon, but with a baby on the way it might be a few years!

The rooms, garden and grounds, pool, view (King 10), and oh the food, were all amazing. Bruce welcomed us warmly and got us settled in like we knew the house and town inside and out.

Traveled here with my college-aged daughter and did all the research via Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed! This is a lovely historic house with tremendous views. It's easy walking distance to everything in Ogunquit, and the owner & staff are friendly and welcoming. Our room, the Ocean View King, was small but efficient and spotless. Walked to Five-O for a great dinner and ended the evening at the fabulous piano bar across the street from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices for everyone. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer!

The Inn sits on a hill with a great ocean view, right in the heart of Ogunquit. It is an easy walk to the beach (our favorite!), shops, and excellent dining. While the rooms are not overly large, they are well appointed, and our hosts were more than generous with their time and attention to us and all the details that make for a stay in which the guests feel truly appreciated and pampered.

Breakfast is served daily; and this is no simple continental breakfast. Each morning brings a specialty breakfast cooked on demand when guests are ready to eat.

We discovered the 2 Village Square Inn last summer (2010) when we made our first visit to the fabulous little beach town of Ogunquit, Maine. We happened on this well run and upscale B&B quite by accident (a Google Search for B&Bs); and we had such a wonderful time there - made some great friends from around the country - that we decided to meet up with this group again this year. One thing this Inn provides and encourages is a friendly atmosphere that allows guests to meet and develop short-term (or long-term in our case), comfortable relationships. By the tme we left after our four-night stay, all of the group had once again reserved their rooms for next year and another reunion.

Owners Bruce and Scott know what they are doing! Warm and welcoming with amazing linens, fireplace, divine saltwater pool, massage room, delicious breakfast and the perfect location with an outstanding view. Couldn't have picked a better location. The diversity of the guests made our stay even more enjoyable. Oh, and when I called from the road to book a massage, there was a robe and slippers waiting in our room when we returned. Great customer service and attention to detail. Dining packages with area restaurants available, too.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back of the B&B with a private entrance and fireplace.
