For years, I have spent the first week in Ogunquit, Maine. Several years ago, I discovered this property, and I have nothing but positive things to say. The owners and hosts, Bruce and Scott, are total professionals. They create a welcoming environment from the moment you step through the front door. The rooms are beautifully appointed from high grade mattresses, high end linen, Kreups coffee makers, and all the appointments you would expect in a higher end property. The property sits above a hilltop with a broad, expansive porch overlooking the ocean. The best part is that it is located in the center of town, so you can walk everywhere.....restaurants, bars, beach, etc. The well trained staff, mostly from Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria, are extremely responsive to every guest's request or need. This year, a young Ukranian man, Alex, did a spectacular job, and he has a bright future in the hospitality field. Plan to enjoy being awakened every morning by the smell of coffee brewing, waffles or blueberry pancakes on the grill or crisp bacon being turned. If you want to experience a delightful Maine holiday, make sure to put this property on your list.

Room Tip: I prefer rooms on the side or back since I prefer a wooded view

I recently took my girlfriend for a 5 night stay at 2 Village Square. What can I say- it was amazing! Bruce and Scott made us feel right at home! The breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were amazing, the inn was absolutely gorgeous and the location was perfect!! I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!! We are definitely coming back next year and would highly recommend 2 Village Square for anyone who is looking for an extremely friendly, knowledgeable service, and relaxing atmosphere. Our needs were totally met by everyone who works at the inn and it was totally worth it!!!!! We miss you already Bruce!!!

My wife and I stayed at 2 Village Square for the second time a few weeks ago (we have also previously stayed at the sister property the Gazebo Inn) When we pulled up to the Inn after a day on our favorite beach (Ogunquit beach) we got out of our car to find Bruce, one of the owners, standing at our car, arms outstretched to give us a big hug and a heart "welcome back!" From the amazing hot breakfasts (you can eat inside, or poolside or on the stunning porch) to the little touches like the drawer full of corkscrews in the kitchen and the keurig coffee makers and bottles of water in every room, and from the most crystal clear pool and hot tub to the way the owners and staff (we love Charlie!) give the guests just the right amount of space and attentiveness -- 2 Village Square is absolutely heads above any other spot in Ogunquit and one we love to return "home" to each year! We can't wait til next summer!

Room Tip: While the ocean view rooms are great we preferr to get our ocean views by rocking on the porch and p...

Bruce and Scott really know how to take care of their quests. Dan and I were there Memorial Day weekend and were able to bring our Golden retriever Summit. We feel like we are home every time we stay here. Booked again for Labor Day weekend and cant wait to be spoiled. Dan and Tom

We had the most relaxing, fabulous, fun, restful long weekend at 2VS. This B&B is centrally located in the middle of everything yet just out of reach as its on the top of the hill. I woke early each morning and had my coffee on the porch looking at the sunrising over the ocean in a really nice rocker. Bruce, knower of all things in town made the most fantastic breakfasts. Waffles with strawberries, and warm apples. hash browns bacon, sausage, french toast, raspberry white truffle chocolate scones. etc...YUMM. Fresh fruit fresh coffee, yogurt etc...No need to buy lunch for sure.

We stayed in King 4 with an ocean view the first night and then up to King 11. I sneaked a peak in other rooms when I could to see what I was missing, Every room that I saw was wonderful. New mattresses and luxury sheets which were nice against sun tanned skin. Flat screens, Keurig and coffee, as well as fluffy pool towels were in all the rooms.

The salt water pool was awesome as well as the hot tub which were both new and new decking, and a shaded porch with tables and chairs which is where we ate breakfast as well as one lunch. The ocean was 63 and the pool was 80 on our hot summer days in July, no need to hit the ocean, we had it all right there.

The couples massage was worth every penny. Amber has been there for years and was skilled at a 90 minute sports massage. Her hands never gave out! Fantastic!

Bruce knows all the best places to eat, how to get there, where to park, how to take the trolley, what boat ride to take and every other little secret in town. There were gay and straight couples from all over the country staying at 2VS, many were repeat vacationers who booked there room for next year. Every guest seemed happy to talk to anyone without regard to preferences and we got along kinda like grown ups. :) BYOB, they supply the ice and glasses as well as beach chairs and coolers on wheels if you want to walk to the beach.

I don't know what else I can say other than the only other place I'd try would be the Gazebo which they also own. Don't skip this place...or maybe I should tell you it's terrible and keep this gem to myself. Enjoy

Room Tip: King 4 has an ocean view, King 11 has a bigger bathroom than King 4. If you have issues with stairs...

We just came back from a 5-day/4-night stay at the Two Village Square Inn. Before we book any travel, we extensively research, research and then do more research on where to stay. We are loyal guests of Ritz Carlton and Fairmont properties, and have stayed at other high-end diamond resorts (Rosewood and Acqualina), for their service and luxury amenities, so we are very particular when it comes to where we stay. We had no issues and absolutely loved this Inn. We would not hesitate for a moment to recommend staying here. After researching many Inns in Ogunquit, the number 1 rated place on Trip Advisor was fully committed 4 months in advance (Gazebo Inn, owned by Bruce Senecal and Scott Osgood). So, we looked to the number 2 place which was Two Village Square Inn. When we found out it was also owned by Bruce and Scott, we knew they must be doing something right, and just had to stay here. We were traveling with another couple, and when we came back to their site to book our rooms a week later, they had already started filling up and we knew the rooms were booking fast. After our stay there, we know why!

Bruce and Scott are the most gracious hosts you will ever meet, especially Bruce, whom we had most interaction with during our stay (as Scott was managing one of their other properties). They own a total of 4 Inns in Ogunquit. Having stayed at just this one, we feel pretty confident that their other Inns are equally as wonderful.

The location of this Inn could not be more perfect. It is right in the heart of the town, at the main intersection. It is up on a hill, so while you're up there, you do not hear the traffic or noise from the street below (except perhaps the piano bar music across the street, which was a fun place for an after-dinner drink and socializing). A quick walk down the driveway, and you're in the middle of it all - fine restaurants, quaint shops, a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to Perkin's Cove. We really do not think there is a better spot in town for an Inn. The front porch of the Inn, with its rocking chairs and cocktail tables provide wonderful water views. It's very relaxing and picturesque. It's a great place to have a glass of wine and some crackers / cheese right before dinner.

This particular Inn is adult-only, so it is just the ticket if you're looking for some quiet time, and do not want children around. The pool/Jacuzzi area is quiet, relaxing and very comfortable, with abundant lounge chairs, rocking chairs and tables. The pool and Jacuzzi are both salt-water systems, so there are no chemicals that can be harsh on your skin - a big plus!

Upon arrival, Bruce gave us a very warm welcome as he checked us in. He immediately gave us a tour of the property - common living areas, dining area, kitchen, pool/Jacuzzi, massage room, etc. He did not rush us through and we immediately felt right at home with him. We had complete access to everything, including the kitchen, refrigerator, etc. Bruce gave excellent restaurant reviews for the local restaurants, and he was spot-on with his recommendations. One meal was better than the next! We're glad we listened to him, as we truly dined at some of the most wonderful places in Ogunquit - MC Perkins (Seafood), Prime (Steak), Old Village Inn (American) and 98 Provence (French). We dined at 98 Provence on our last night in Ogunquit, and we loved every morsel of food, service and atmosphere. We definitely did right, by saving the best for last! Restaurant Tip: the Inn offers 4 dining packages for guests staying there, and they are charged to your room. We took advantage of the Old Village Inn Package, which cost $79 per couple, and you each receive an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert. There are no restrictions and all menu items, including the daily specials were included as part of the package. It's truly a great deal.

The level of service we received from Bruce and the rest of his staff were top-notch. There were 2 additional assistants he had working with him that we interacted with, Alex and Laurentiu. The entire team is just such a pleasure to talk to, to deal with and they all made you feel so welcome after returning from dinner or an afternoon out on the beach or shopping. The daily housekeeping service by Alex was excellent, and he was very accommodating. When we wanted him to clean our room at a certain time (usually after 1PM when we would be done with breakfast and some pool time) he never hesitated to accommodate. He would come back at the time we requested. The public areas of the Inn were also immaculately kept.

Décor of the entire Inn was upscale and tasteful. All the guest rooms appear to be that way as well. We booked the King Suite 20, which had an extra powder room (convenient when we're both getting ourselves ready for the day) and a full kitchen (behind the full bathroom). It is also a pet-friendly room, so if Fido wants to come, he's welcome to stay there with you! The only recommendation we have for this room that would be a very quick fix is to add blinds to the kitchen window. It overlooks the pool area, and at times, we found that other guests would be peering in while we were in there, wondering what part of the Inn they may have missed exploring. The bed is very comfortable, and the sheets are ultra cozy and inviting.

Bruce was at the Inn early each morning, preparing breakfast for all the guests. What a treat! There was a different menu each day, while keeping a few "staples" in the menu, one of them being their Scones. I was never a fan of scones, and have tried so many and none have appealed to me. Well, to show you how good they are here, I had two scones each day! I don't know what Bruce does with them, or what his secret recipe is, but they were phenomenal. Again, all breakfast items were great. Some of the different items he served up include pancakes, waffles, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage among other breakfast foods. We enjoyed waking up, going for a jog on the beach, and returning for this breakfast. It was something we looked forward to each morning.

We spent one afternoon hiking Mt Agamenticus. What a great little mountain, just a quick 15 minute drive from here. While the bugs and mosquitoes were out in full force, the views were wonderful and the hiking was great. We enjoyed the trails there, and if you have some time for a little adventurous hike, we recommend you look into this.

We also stopped in York Beach, and visited the Nubble Lighthouse. It's very picturesque and if you have time, worth a stop either on your way to Two Village or back (if coming from the south). Additionally, if you go through there, remember to make a stop at Stonewall Kitchen. They are located right on Route 1, south of Ogunquit. Great place for jams, jellies, snacks, kitchen ware, etc. We stopped there on the way to Ogunquit and picked up jams, jellies and crackers to have with our wine on the front porch of the Inn, before heading out to dinner each night. Excellent experience!

All in all, we had a wonderful trip to Ogunquit, and have found our new home away from home. We will definitely be back to stay at this Inn, or at one of their other properties. Thank you, Bruce and Scott for a wonderful stay. We will see you again very soon! (Your new friends from Long Island, NY)

Bruce & Co. run an A+ inn. The location could not be more perfect and the atmosphere in the inn is so comfortable you feel like your going to stay with old friends or family! I rarely leave reviews but these folks deserve 5 stars...they have thought of everything! My husband left his shorts and there were in the mail and at our house within days - true professionals. We'll definitely be back, thanks for a great little getaway!
