I'm a member of the Boston Gay Men's Chorus and just stayed at the Ogunquit Beach Inn for the second year in a row. What a phenomenal B&B with good vibes galore. Greg and Michael are the most gracious of hosts, the baked goods are to die for, and the place is spotless, stylish and fabulously comfy. Can't wait for next year!

Having stayed at the Ogunquit Beach Inn almost exclusively for the past twelve years, this place feels more like a second home than a boutique bed-and-breakfast, but even for first time visitors, that friendly, relaxed feel should prove true. Inn-keepers Greg and Mike are two of the most enjoyable hosts one could hope to have, always available for help or advice, willing to plan out your stay in as detailed or as casual a way as you would like, ever-ready with an arsenal of ideas for dining, drinking, and all manners of vacationing.

The craftsman house is a welcoming sight on School Street, just steps away from the Village Centre, the Marginal Way, and the magnificent beach - and chairs are provided for the latter. Inside, there is a breakfast porch and kitchen area, along with a sitting room and the stairs to the upstairs units. There are two other rooms with their own entrances - the Naughty Pine Room being our preference, as it comes with its own outside deck and sitting area. All the rooms have private baths.

There is a continental breakfast served, featuring delicious homemade breads, muffins, cookies and other treats. For the afternoon, a standard selection of spirits is on hand, along with a bucket of ice. While a friendly sign asks that the room be available for service between 11 and 1, we've had mornings where we've gone out at 10, and the room was miraculously finished before we returned at 10:30. That kind of service and awareness is what separates a great inn from a good one. It's also what sets the Ogunquit Beach Inn apart from the larger hotels in the area, due mostly to the inn-keepers themselves.

Greg and Mike have an adept feel for exactly what each traveler wants and needs - and we're all different in our own ways. For those who desire a lighter, less invasive touch, they calmly step back and allow people to come and go, offering recommendations only when asked or sought out. For those who enjoy a richer, more involved experience, they quickly become new friends, advising on the history of Ogunquit, the latest restaurant, and the tried and true must-stops for any trip to Maine. They'll make all your dining reservations (and since they know everyone in town it will often get you the best service available) and offer behind-the-scenes secrets of how to get the most out of your visit (and welcome hints such as where to park for a show, or the best seats in the movie house). Such is the mark of an excellent inn-keeper.

Ogunquit has always been one of my favorite places to visit, and that's in no small part because of the friendliness and service of the Ogunquit Beach Inn.

Room Tip: There are two rooms with private entrances for those who want more privacy and quieter accommodation...

Had an enormously pleasurable four nights here. The decor is stylish without being over-fussy, and the location is a short walk from the main attractions. Gregg is a most genial host and I felt like a visiting friend rather than just a guest. I was very sorry to leave.

We stayed at the Ogunquit Beach Inn on our two-day stop in Ogunquit on our vacation up the New England coast. What a wonderful find! We will definitiely be back to Ogunquit in the future, thanks in no small part to the wonderful hospitality shown by Greg and Michael, our hosts at the Ogunquit Beach Inn. Greg offered lots of helpful advice on what to see and do in our limited time in town, had a great spread for us in the morning, and a happy hour cocktail to boot!. Beautiful room- very clean, and a great value. We loved it- Greg and Michael have a couple new friends now!

Tomorrow, I begin another Ogunquit vacation, staying at the Ogunquit Beach Inn. Although I travel up a few times of year to see the seasons change, one thing I shall never change is my stay at OBI! The hosts are the most lovely gentleman one could hope to meet.....and they know everything there is to know about where to go and what to do. OBI has become far more than just a place to lay my head: It truly has become a home away from home! Spotlessly clean, coffee flowing non-stop all morning, and a deliciously comfy bed.....sheer delight!

Room Tip: Two rooms have private entrances!

I stayed at the Ogunquit Beach Inn on the first night of a drive up the coast of Maine, and it was a lovely introduction to the trip! One of the hosts (Greg, I think) was a great source of local information and was very helpful with recommendations for eats, sights and walks. The common space and my room were immaculate and thoughtfully decorated in a charmingly kitschy way. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. I would definitely return on a future visit to the area.

I have been a frequent guest of The Ogt. Beach Inn. I am particulary moved by the nostalgic feel of real "down Maine" vacations of my youth that the Inn evokes. It's especially great on a rainy day for relaxing and/or napping. The smell of freshly baked cookies wafting up to my room and the bowl of classic penny candy (Salt water TAFFY being my favorite) brings it all back.

Greg and Mike are perfect hosts and make you feel right at home. The rooms are cozy and quaint. Why stay at one of those sterile, cookie-cutter "resorts" along Ocean Ave. where you are addressed as a room or parking space number? The personal attention and service you will get at the OGT Beach Inn takes you back to a time when people took pride in their business and it shows.

The OGT Beach Inn: The way life should be.
