“Great place”
Reviewed 7 July 2013

This place is great for food, live music, and plus it has seating right on the sand, as it is right on the water. Good food and a good time here with good service!

“Worst Restaurant Experience Ever!”
Reviewed 28 June 2013

If you want to get food that is worth the price you're paying for, definitely don't, I repeat, don't go to the Pirate's Patio! We went expecting a laid back, beach, seafood restaurant (it's right on the beach) and what we got was bad food and bad attitude at a hefty pricetag. When the owner tells you that they can't guarantee you condiments for your meal (example: no tartar sauce for your fish and chips, no mayonnaise, relish, vinegar, etc.) and says, "you're in Maine, people use ketchup here", you know you're in a place that doesn't care! With the exception of one gentleman that actually went and purchased tartar sauce for us the people were extremely rude. My recommendation is NOT to go there -- there are plenty of real restaurants in Old Orchard Beach to pick from!

“It's As if A Bar from the Keys Washed Ashore in Maine”
Reviewed 5 April 2013

Is it a boat? Is it a trailer? I think it might be both.

If there was a quirkiness rating, I'd give it a perfect score.

Do you like cold beer at a reasonable price served on the sand?
Do you like free entertainment with an ocean view?
Do you like giant orders of gooey nachos served on aluminum foil?

If so, go to the Pirate's Patio on a hot summer day.

If you leave your attitude home you'll enjoy it. If you are looking for perfection, don't go.

Bathrooms aren't the greatest. Parking is a challenge.

Strongly recommended for people who like to have fun. Definitely not recomended for snobs.

Note: If you hear Brown Eyed Girl or Cheeseburger in Paradise more than once while you're there it's time to walk to your hotel.

“Horrible.”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

I was scared to eat the food here but I did anyway since the kids liked playing in the sand outside. My stepson ordered a PB&J and the waitress came back to tell us the cook couldn't find the jelly. My husband and I ordered burgers medium and they came to us as burnt as a hockey puck. Overall, awful food that cost us a pretty penny. Better off getting a burger from a snack shack on the boardwalk!
