If you don't want to camp in nearby Black Woods Campground and want to avoid the bustle of Bar Harbor, this is the place for you. Nicely decorated, simple rooms with WiFi, TV and plumbing that works.There was no maid service while we were there but the price is right, the continental breakfast served (included) in the adjacent store is tasty and the staff is very friendly. It is the perfect base for hiking and biking the eastern part of the island. Leave your car at the Inn and use the free National Park Bus service (runs every half hour) to get you to your trail head or carriage road.
Want some action? Bar Harbor is only a 5 minute car ride away and if you want fine dining go to the Burning Tree Restaurant, which is less than half a mile from the Inn. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time, because it is very popular.
