Great location, very quiet with a lovely view of the southern approach to Rockland harbor. We stayed the weekend, and it was very convenient to stop in throughout the day to nap/read/paint on the porches or on the sprawling green lawn. Rockland is a 5 minute drive, and Waterman's lobsters (a must!) or the cute little state parks are about 15 minutes in the other direction. Our room (Taber) was good value. Bed was very comfortable, nice to have a fridge, view from room of the ocean was nice. Donna was a gracious host, helpful with advice and full of tales of Rockland, where she grew up. Breakfast was not gourmet, but there was lots of it (there's great coffee in town), and the view from the breakfast room is splendid. House is a home, full of collectables and cuteness, and chocoholics beware ... there are Doves everywhere!
