A Morning in Maine is a must while visiting coastal Maine. Capt Bob shares lots of information and gives a firsthand look at sailing. Bringing his dog along for the day makes it extra special. We went out for an afternoon sail in July and the weather was perfect. It's such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon.

What a steal of a deal! Just to spend time with the Captain. He is a genuine Mainer and while cruising will tell quite the story. Our day was rainy and windy in the wrong way and he got creative to be sure we got out to see 2 lighthouse while he pointed out various wildlife like seals and porpoises and various birds, and told us stories.
Quite the character and I'd love to go back in the fall to experience it again!

The ketch offers morning, sunset and moonlight sails. Sometimes he features a dinner sail. Schedule varies (moonlight sails are offered at full moon). First mate Ed is a big help for birders. Some folks brought wine and cheese with them and enjoyed the photo ops of them steering.
Great sail.
The only negative is that the website, "Camden Day Sails" lists both the Owl Island home address of the Captain and the name and pier where the boat is moored. If you click the link to his site get directions to the pier, nothing happens. You have to phone the number. A careless reader could go to to the home address rather than the pier due to lack of directions.

Captain Bob, first-mate Ed, and dog Poco took great care of all the guests during our 2-hour sail from the Rockland port. Very child-friendly -- all kids on board got a chance to steer the boat, and it was a peaceful, scenic, enjoyable time and 2 hours was just the right amount of time. Would highly recommend. Captain Bob is a Maine-r and was very helpful and informative with all our PFA (People from Away) questions!!

We enjoyed a tranquil cruise with friends and enjoyed every moment of the excursion. We'd definitely recommend it and would go again in a heartbeat! A different experience than our two sails on the Schooner Olad (also fun!) and, in our humble opinions, even better.
