We came here for a week during a tour of Maine for our honeymoon. The place is secluded, but not isolated - we were able to go grocery shopping and see some sights without spending a whole day in the car. The cabins are bright and sunny, clean, and well equipped. There were bicycles and kayaks for us to use, which was great fun. Good hiking nearby and whale watching tours for those interested in that as well.

Dick and Linda are warm and wonderful hosts. We left feeling very well cared for. They have extensive knowledge of the area (things to do and see & places to go). We would love to return!

These cottages offer the true away-from-it-all Down East experience. Amazingly beautiful spot - several cottages, none quite in view of the others, each with its own bit of waterfront (rocky or pebble beach rather than sand). The property is big enough for you to feel as if you have your own corner of wild paradise for a while. Guests are welcome to explore the whole point via hiking trails or the kayaks and bicycles provided by the host. Extremely comfortable but not luxurious, it's truly off the grid - limited cell service, no electricity. Not to worry, however, as each cottage has propane-fueled light, refrigerator, hot showers, and more. A land-line phone at the office is available for emergencies and making reservations in town (Eastport). Kitchens are well-equipped for rental cottages. A gas grill extends the cooking options. Host also provides good dry firewood.

Owner Dick Norton built these cottages on land that has been in his family for generations. They are well-built and placed well given the topography. He and his wife are congenial hosts and go out of their way to help, but are also respectful of your privacy.

Eastport is just a short drive and offers a couple of nice restaurants and a bit of shopping; there's a small summer arts community there. Lubec, Campobello Island, and the spectacular wild areas and hiking trails of the Bold Coast are within easy daytrip distance. Birds and sealife abound.

We have stayed twice in the Seawall Cabin - once for 1 week, and then returned for a 2-week stay. No doubt we will return.
