“Good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our way to the Marshall point lighthouse. We were glad we did! The server Devon was great, very attentive. We had the sweet pea raviolis as appetizer. Should have shared, there were three nice size raviolis. Then our meals came out. The crab stuffed haddock was good and my friends steak meal was tender and flaverful. Good portions and moderate pricing. We ate at 5:30 and it was not crowded.

“lobster is like sex”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2014

Lobster is like sex. Even when its bad, its still pretty good! Well, the twin lobster special at the Black Harpoon is beyond good...its outstanding. Nice size, perfectly cooked, and it comes with corn and great service from an excellent staff. Other seafood dishes were great also, and the ultimate testimony is that its where the locals...as well as the summah people, go. I've been coming to this area for 50 years, and this is as good as it gets. Jim McConchie, Massachusetts and Maine.

“It simply doesn't get more local than this...”

Bar menu works for this tiny bar in this tiny town. Friendly natives and staff. Good beer. Reasonable prices.

“Warm and Friendly restaurant in Port Clyde, ME”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2013

My husband and I ate here 3 times during our week long stay in beautiful Port Clyde and we found the food to be prepared very well. The baked haddock and Caesar salad with pan seared scallops were the winners. We preferred eating in the small tavern versus the restaurant as it provided a warm and friendly atmosphere with mostly locals. Sally the bartender was wonderful and so welcoming each time! We will definitely be back!
