Owner description: Allagash Brewing Company is dedicated to crafting the best Belgian-inspired beers in the world. Best known for our flagship beer, Allagash White, we also enjoy aging beer in oak barrels (beginning with the launch of Curieux in 2004) and spontaneously fermented beers (beginning with our traditional Coolship in 2007). Come up and visit us – we’d love to show you around.

Allagash makes some of my favorite beer so when I was in the area for a wedding I was excited to visit the brewery. We signed up for a tour online ahead of time. Tour was great and it finished in their new tasting/barrel room. They gave everyone on the tour four different samples of beer. Tour and tasting were both free. They have a small shop in the front of the brewery where you can buy some of their specialty beers.

Great free, nice pour, tasting. Great outdoor seating and friendly staff. We didn't have time for the tour but the tasting was worth the stop!

We arrived just a little later for the last tour of the day, but the staff was still great to accommodate us so that we could still get in and taste the wonderful beer at Allagash. They have lots of interesting beers, all of which were quite good. Lots of good beer-related memorabilia in the store as well.

Love the beer. Loved the tour. Everyone is super nice, they give you a full walking your they the brewery and you get to try an array of their beers. It has an earthy crunchy feel and we loved it. A definite stop you have to make in Portland. Tip: it's on the outskirts of the city, not in downtown

Was so excited to try out Allagash Brewery considering we heard talk about how great it was here in Southwest Florida. All that talk was correct.

You need to book a tour ahead of time. We got there so early, that they offered us the tasting before the tour. They had some great "beer swag" in the shop and I loved the set up of the bar area. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere with really down to earth Beer Tenders.

Everyone in my group loved the Allagash White, which is light, refreshing, with hints of citrus and fruit flavors. My personal favorite beer they had on tap was the Victoria (which was brewed with white grapes) and the Victor (which was brewed with Red Grapes)...DELICIOUS!

I really enjoyed the tour. They give you goggles (unless you have glasses) and head sets so you can actually hear what the tour guide is saying...Great Idea By The Way. The brewers were hard at work. We went on one of the later tours so they were mostly cleaning up, but doing a fine job at it considering the place looked and smelt so clean. The tour guide was funny and explained things so they could easily be comprehended.

We look forward to our next trip back to Maine to see what they brew up next.

Thank Laurley
