This was my first time staying at the La Qunita and found it quite pleasant. We checked in late on a Sunday after not having anywhere to stay with my father in the hospital. The staff there went above and beyond for us. The women that checked us in was amazing. When I explained that we were a large family she assured us that it wasn't a problem and was extremely friendly with the kids. They even went as far as letting us use an HDMI cable so we could use our laptop connected to the TV. Netflix kept the kids busy. On top of that, the room was clean, appliances were newish and it is 3 minutes from the hospital and because we at the hospital we paid the hospital that was discount about %50. The only issue we had was with the shuttle. The morning my father died I was stranded at the hospital because the phones went down at the hotel and was unable to call the shuttle. I had to take a cab. The staff did seem sorry.

Have stayed at many La Quintas and found it lacking many of the amenities that are usually there. No luggage racks in room and when asked they said they only had two, but they did find one for us. Also, no fridge in room , desk chair like a canvas beach chair, no pen and paper, and ice machine broken on our floor. It did seem clean (although found a nickel on the floor) and very spacious room. Employees friendly.

Room Tip: Ask if the room has a fridge

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend before our road race. We chose it because it was a short drive to old port. It was pretty pricey for what you get, and quite outdated. However, it was clean and only 7 minutes from where we had to go. Not a bad choice, but probably not an amazing choice either!

we stay here enroute to further up the Maine coast. the La Quinta is conviently located to downtown Portland and the baseball park, near good restuarants and convenient to the expressway. We have stayed here several times. It is one of the best value priced motels in the area during tourist season. I stayed in LaQuinta for years when we were in the Southwest in the 70"s F.Flowers

Hotel staff was excellent to work with and friendly and courteous. Room amenities were fine. Bed was comfortable and room size was adequate for our needs. Only issue was there was no refrigerator in our room to store medicine for myself. We had to use a refrigerator in the back of the breakfast area that was accessible only by employees. Checkout was quick and value was good.
