Great bottles beer selection and happy hr specials. The food is a bit out there, but you can find some decent dishes.

“An Absolute Winner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 October 2013

We recently found this restaurant while visiting Portland. Dining here was a trip highlight. East Ender uses fresh, high quality ingredients. The dishes are creative and well-prepared. We enjoyed a delicious salad and brussel sprouts with bacon as our starters. We had the short ribs (I think of them often!) and the brisket dinner. The portions were generous so we were too full for dessert. Our server was friendly and attentive. We hope to return to Portland some day to enjoy another delicious meal at this restaurant. It is highly recommended.

“Good comfort food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2013

We ate upstairs. We got the highly touted lobster nachos but they just didn't do it for us - they were good but not awesome. The burger was great. Salads were delicious. All in all a good Monday night out.

“Duck fat overflow or good on its own merit?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

We couldn't get into Duckfat and really wanted a bite and brew. All we got was a small pizza-a mere appetizer really, but it was delicious! Goat cheese, caramelized onion and bacon and a terrific homemade crust. A little pricey, but we will go back.

“Dinner Reservation”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2013

We had a very good dinner here on our last night in Portland. It was Friday night so we made a reservation and were seated promptly. The surf and turf burger, a burger topped with brie cheese and lobster meat, was very good. But the lobster nachos was the most impressive dish served, and was more than enough to go around. The service was good too.
