The Hampton Inn in downtown Portland is in a great location and not as expensive as the othe downtown hotels. One block from the waterfront with lots of great places to eat and shop. Also close to the docks where the tour boats go out for harbor sightseeing. The breakfast area is light and bright and excellent selection and quality of food for this type of property. Staff very helpful. Parking is extra because they lease out the area... Rooms are spacious. No tubs , larger showers... back view of the hotel faces churches and streets with charm. I am sure the front rooms have a view of the ocean? not sure since I did not have one of those rooms.. Beds were wonderful.
A good place to stay if you are in Portland.More
