We hunted this place out, as it was listed in our Lonely Planet guidebook, so I can't understand why there are not more reviews on here. It is completely off the tourist trail, but soooooo worth it. The place is primarily a deli, with a huge selection of Italian produce, but out the back is a bakery where you can pick up fresh bread and slabs of pizza. One variety only. You stand in line until it comes out the oven. There are a few seats to sit at, or you can take-out in boxes provided. It is truly delicious. Very fluffy, doughy base, with a liberal amount of herby tomato sauce and cheese. The slice is massive, and I can't remember the cost, but seem to recall thinking I expected it to cost twice the amount.
There are paper plates stuck on the wall, with comments written on them such as "I come from NYC and this beats any pizza I've had". There is no counter at the back, so there is an honesty policy, where you pay in the deli, having already eaten. We were so glad we found this unassuming place.
