“Nature in the city”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

The Back Cove Trail, in the heart of Portland, is a beautiful nature walk during which walkers/runners/cyclists can see various types of waterfowl and vegetation. The 3.5 mile trail is well maintained and can be taken at your own pace.

“A lot of car break-ins”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

"The boulevard" as we locals call it is the go-to place for many for a walk or run. It's nice, especially at sunset. However, there were a lot of car break-ins last summer, so I'd leave all valuables elsewhere. Putting your purse in your trunk or "hidden" in your vehicle isn't sufficient, as the PPD will tell you. I'd also be very careful of frequenting the boulevard alone on non-peak times. Right after work's a good time.

Note: Use the bathroom at the nearby Hannaford before or after if you need to. Sometimes there are port-a-potties on the boulevard, but I don't believe always.

“Another nice ride”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

There are some nice interconnected trails in Portland and this is one of them. Scenic and pleasant; would be good for strollers, families and leisurely bikers (like us). Not very crowded, even on Memorial Day weekend. Overall a nice ride.

Good walk for strolling, running, dog walking, people watching, looking at houses and skyline, plus the exercise park at one end, lots of parking.

“65 years and counting”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

From the time of being a little girl watching the storms roll in until buying a retirement home within walking distance I have appreciated any walk a few times a year. Watching the natural world in this wonderful setting in a live long joy.
