The flavors are amazing, the donuts divine... the lines can be long, but it's worth the wait. A must stop on your way through town or if you are in the area..... Try them all! You may never want a lousy substandard donut from a chain ever again. You will be spoiled forever.

Never had a potato-based donut before but each one of them proved mighty tasty and I wouldn't mind some more. But they are the most expensive donuts I've ever eaten too- $12 for a half dozen- YIKES!!!

When we visited on a Saturday mid-morning, there was a line down the block. Donuts are made with Maine potatoes, the ones we had were on the bread-y side which we like. So good! Coffee excellent too. Nicely located on a street with neat shops and just a block from the waterfront.

This was quite a treat from the overwhelming popularity of Duncan donuts and tim hortons that pollute the northeastern US. It's a very nice local donut shop, quite a variety of flavors. Only thing I would have enjoyed more is if they had a microwave or something to warm the donuts just a little in the store. Would definitely go again.

If you’re stopping in Portland, you’d have a hard time missing the scores of people carrying around the Holy Donut’s boxes. The idea of a POTATO donut may sound off-putting, but...... just go, get 6 and revel in the glory. The donuts are almost a cross between an old-fashioned cake donut and a fluffy yeast-donut. They are light and have amazing depth of flavor. Their combinations are creative and delectable and you could easily eat 3 without feeling like you’re going to die. The savory Bacon Cheddar would make a lovely lunch if paired with a nice salad and get the chocolate with cinnamon sugar. You’ll thank me later. The line forms and moves quickly on the weekends, but if you’re there early in the day, you’ll be rewarded with their full selection at peak freshness. Again, if you get less than 6, you’re a fool.
