I went here with my 2 children, ages 16 and 10. They are both adventurous eaters and love to try new things. There was a wait, but once we were seated we were served quickly. The food was delicious and a great change of pace with lots of different flavors and spices. The food is "street style" Thai food, so it's not like a typical Thai restaurant. Our favorite was the quail eggs. The kids still talk about how delicious they were and how they can't wait to go back and have them again.

My friend and I discovered this place while on a weekend jaunt in Portland.

I've eaten Thai food all over the world, and I must say, this place is top notch. The dishes are creative, and delicious. The restaurant does some unique takes on some standard dishes like Pad Thai, and they're all good.

They have nice drinks, including some dynamite herbal tea, and the service is outstanding.

It's a popular place, so don't expect an intimate atmosphere. But that notwithstanding, it's well worth a visit while you're in Portland.

We stopped in on a Wednesday night about 6:00 and were seated immediately. If we had waited 15 minutes longer, it would have been a 20 minute wait. Even if we had to wait, it would have been worth it. The salad special was a fiddlehead salad with toasted coconut flakes which was outstanding. The on-the-menu mango salad with green beans was sweet then tart then sweet. The Tom Kar soup was a surprise with Wolfe Neck organic beef. I usually associate this soup with chicken but the beef was melt in the mouth delightful. I wasn't wild about the oyster offering and came to the conclusion that in all cases and without exception, oysters should be naked so the brine/sea taste is not diluted or diminished. Boda's offering involved a chili-lime dressing and fried shallots. Good, but raw fish would have worked better than oysters.

Don't hesitate to go. The small plates have small prices and so a failed food selection won't break the bank. And even a bad choice in food at a great restaurant beats Wendy's.

Boda is an awesome little Thai restaurant. It's more American trendy stylized than typical Thai places. But the food is very nicely done, and true to authentic Thai style. Lots of apps, $6-10, all worth a try. Nice entrees $12-$18. Excellent cocktails $9. High marks for atmosphere and service too. All around great place.

We stopped in to catch a quick dinner before a show and what a pleasant surprise.
The food was great and delicious, service was fast, polite and very helpful.
Prices were reasonable, you might want to make a reservation there was a little wait.
