I have had lots of lobster, crab, mussels, clams in my time and I must say there is nothing special here. The dinning room is rather loud, the service was fine.

We were a table of four for dinner. The room was not that crowded to begin with. However the list things that went wrong started from the moment we gave our drink order. Either the server got it wrong or the bartender doesn't know the difference between a Manhattan and a Rob Roy. That took some explaining. The server who waited on our table needs to pay more attention to what is being ordered and make sure that the order is put in correctly and what is being served is correct. The server admitted she didn't know the difference. The food was served piece meal. One order comes in, then another and finally one is forgotten altogether. Three of our party of four was finished dinner before the last person was served. Bottom line, either the server forgot to place the order or the kitchen forgot to make the meal. Either way, the server need to keep a head on her shoulder and make control the flow between her tables, their orders and the kitchen staff preparing the meals. It was a mess. Food, well maybe another day.

Boone's offers a good range of typical Maine favourites such as Lobster rolls, but also features a separate menu on the first floor with a menu of Asian twists on the standard fayre. It also has a bar that affords views of the dock/harbour, with very friendly staff and a good selection of beers which we enjoyed during Happy Hour, making them great value.

We ate dinner in the main restaurant. The Lobster roll was very tasty, served in a nice crisply toasted roll, and a delicious NOB burger topped with bacon and fried Oysters - perhaps one of the best I had on the East Coast! Our server was attentive and friendly (although we could have used more instruction on how best to eat Steamers). The place was bustling, and the open kitchen area meant we could see the staff at work, as well as the live Lobster tank.

All in all, we were delighted with the meal and service, and the price was pretty reasonable for what we had.

We came to Boones without a reservation. There were no tables open but the hostess seated us at the bar upstairs to wait for a table. The bartender was very freindly and attentive. He was able to tell us a lot about the beers and recomended us something we loved. Dinner was very good and I thought the scallops were excelent although I would have loved one or two more!!!. The Lobsrter was also very good but you can hardly mess up a Lobser. We also had a delicious salad and the most amzing corn bread. Service was good but maybe a little stressed and the price was a bit expensive. But all in all we had a great evening and it´s great to see that someone is doing something nice with the old landmark! I would eat here again and would recomend it to others.

Perfect place for a $70 lunch. I'm kidding. To have a Market Price for a salad was laughable. It was romaine lettuce & beets. This restaurant excels at making you feel like a complete idiot for eating here LONG after the meal is over. Yes, the stuffed haddock was good, but for $25 NOT including sides, now I know why people leave angry. You have to enter this establishment with an incredible urge to blow your money on slow service & ok food. If you really must see what it looks like inside, get an overpriced beer, enjoy the view & go eat elsewhere. I'm a local who was willing to forgo the Chef's reputation for the sake of the view. Sad to say I'd rather eat anywhere but here ever again.
