“Excellent breakfast, including a triple-burger option”
Reviewed 22 October 2013

We had a delicious breakfast here during a quick trip to Maine - sought it out due to it's organic food. Our god son was with us, and he was thrilled with the option of a triple burger for breakfast, with grass fed beef, no less. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area, which overlooks the waterfront. Wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.

“Great lunch place”
Reviewed 23 September 2013

We stopped here for lunch because of the outdoor dining. The food was very good, the staff attentive, and reasonably priced.

“Nothing special”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

Sadly, these reviews are spot on. We ate here on a Groupon. First problem...we stood there for 7 minutes before being acknowledged. Off to a bad start. Decor (we ate downstairs) was nothing exciting, and while the rest room was clean enough, during the short walk there things seemed dirty. The service picked up after the initial lack of greeting and the woman who waited on us was lovely and appropriately attentive, although it seems that several of the items on the fairly limited list of entrees were on the verge of running out-- on a Sat. Night at 7? The menu was almost exclusively seafood, unless you wanted a sandwich. No beef or vegetarian options at all for entrees, which was surprising in a place that prides itself on cooking with local food during what is, after all, the height of harvest season. The wine was fine, but expensive and nothing impressive. No house wine. By far the best part of the meal was the appetizers. The mussels were excellent and the polenta "fries" were the best thing we had. The entrees were very disappointing.Pasta with lobster was very dry (although better the next day when reheated with a little liquid). The pork tenderloin was dry and tough..almost inedible. To be fair, the arugula and sweet potatoes and onions served with it were excellent..I could have eaten them and skipped the pork entirely. We didn't bother with dessert, nor did we see the menu, so I can't comment on that. Bottom line- a fine place for a sandwich but nothing special for dinner and quite expensive considering everything. Oh yes, the bread looked like a baguette from the local grocery store. Again, wouldn't you expect something with a more local feel?

“Great Old Port location with fresh, natural and organic options”
Reviewed 8 September 2013 via mobile

Loved my french onion soup and grilled salmon with quinoa! A restaurant that understands the importance of eating healthy - with interesting choices and generous portions. Service was a bit slow for middle of a Friday afternoon, but apparently they were understaffed that day. Still, thanks for a great meal!

“Mediocre”
Reviewed 2 September 2013

In bullets:
-Waitstaff (except for Nick) seemed pretty unhappy.
-Food was just ok. My fish and chips were good but all of the bread I saw coming out of the kitchen was slightly burnt.
-There's a trash can of old food from customer's plates in the hall as you go to the restroom.
-I could see a bakery tray of buns and rolls sticking out next to the bar. Ruined the bar feel.

I wouldn't go again as there are so many other restaurants to try in Portland. Hope the managers will read some of these reviews and make changes.
