“Great Baseball Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

My brother and I went to the ballgame at Hadlock field and had a great time. We visited 3 other parks during our trip to the New England Area and this was the best experience of them all. The staff and other spectators were friendly, the place was clean and the atmosphere was great for families and any other patrons there. The game was well-played as well. The ballpark experience is a great value.

“Nice Visit to a AA Red Sox Affiliate”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

Hadlock Field is located in downtown Portland, Maine and is great little ballpark housing the Red Sox AA Eastern League affiliate. Prices are great, especially as you are likely to see some future big league players here. Definitely grab a program for future reference:

There doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the park, but if you are out in the Coca Cola picnic area it could be hard to see some plays. Seats are relatively inexpensive. We had the best available at $12 each and were very happy with the view.

Parking (as reported by previous reviewers) is readily available. DO NOT park in residential areas, or you will be towed. The city operates some lots in the nearby area for a nominal fee of $5.00 per event. We parked at the Maine Medical Center for FREE (880 Congress Street on your GPS, and a five minute walk down Forest St. to the ballpark :)

We didn't purchase any food as we had lunch just prior to arrival, but it smelled REALLY good and the price appeared to be reasonable (especially when compared to Fenway and JetBlue Parks).

There are lots of kid-friendly event between innings, and we even got to see the "First Annual Maine Dairy Day Cow Milking Contest."

Might also be the last, but it was "entertaining."

Enjoy Hadlock Field and AA ball games! BTW, the Sea Dogs won over the Altoona Curve 5-1

“Good professional baseball at reasonable prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

My wife and I went to a Sea Dogs came on a recent trip to southern Maine. Tickets behind home plate were $10.00 each! We parked at Maine Medical Center garage which was free and only a 5 minute walk to the ball park. We love to go to minor league games whenever we can.

“family-friendly ball game experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

Went to a Sunday afternoon game. Bought tickets at the window 45 minutes before game time and got 2nd row seats in shallow left for $10 apiece. The seats are a good value, but the food isn't. Expect to pay about $10 for a hot dog, soda, and ice cream. My only other knock is the sun can be brutal - no shaded seats in the whole place. Those negatives aside, it's a great little ballpark to watch a game. Very family-friendly atmosphere. Lots of kids contests in between innings. Clean and well-maintained. They have event parking across the street from the hospital for $5, but you can find free parking on side streets.

“Who Let the Dogs Out? (Sigh)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

We sat in the 1st row directly behind home plate and our tickets were $10 p. person. The $5 parking was within close walking distance. The park was nice and clean. The in-between inning games/contests were entertaining. Just for reference a Sea dog Biscuit is a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich and is sold by the vendors walking the park. Great affordable fun for the family.
