Wow-what a great restaurant. Haven't been there in a few years until our friends wanted to go.
So glad we did. Food, service, atmosphere, drinks, etc.etc. was superb and we feel one of the top restaurants in Portland Maine.

Vignola is an attractive, warm restaurant. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the food--- my pasta dish seemed a bit devoid of any real flavor, and the wine list is incredibly pricey.
Our service was good, but based on this experience, I would not return.

My husband called & spoke with Jessica. He told her it was our first trip to Portland with friends & Vignola was recommened. We arrived at 6:30 & had a drink at the bar. We were seated at a table by the window. Loved the atmosphere here & the table was great. Our waiter Matt couldn't have been more helpful. He made this evening very enjoyable. Great Waiter! Thank you Jessica for starting us out with a complementary glass of Prosecco. We ordered the burrata, and the Mussels appetizer and the sausage trio. The burrata salad with the pickled pepper and almond pesto was delicious & so were the mussels & the sausage. We enjoyed the pasta with duck sausage & the braciole. Overall we all enjoyed our evening here

Enjoyed a delicious dinner here and was happy to find such refined Italian food. Our waitress (Paige, I think) was excellent as was the atmosphere. Was a little disappointed that they were out of gnocci, but the Braciole and the fish soup were good size portions and well prepared. It's on the expensive side.

Overpriced below mediocre food! Never again- had the grilled veal which was so thin, tough and bland-one of the most expensive dish on the menu. It was also served cold. The. Portions are so small that I was still hungry after having the meal. We had a reservation @5:30 and there were only 2 other couples having a meal. We asked for a table by the window which were unoccupied and we're told they were reserved. We left @ 7pm and no one else came other than another couple who got seated in the back.,
