Everything in this hotel was well maintained and clean. The staff was courteous and responsive. Live entertainment during happy hour was a nice touch. Breakfast was good, omelettes were excellent. Steak dinner was really good.

Dear Occassional Vacationer,
We so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I'll pass your feedback onto Chef Sam and our omlet chef, Andrew. They are both talented craftsmen and I am sure they will appreciate your positive review. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are doing.

We stayed two nights for a little winter getaway. The price for the suite is excellent. The free breakfast with fruit, breads, pancakes, oatmeal, and an omelet station was outstanding. The manager's nightly reception was appreciated - enjoy a glass of wine, a beer, or mixed drink along with crackers and cheese and fruit - all free. These perks add up considering what we would have paid to go out for breakfast each day. The lobby is well decorated as are the rooms. Beds very comfy. Rooms very clean. No airport noise from jets and our room was facing the runway. Two TV's in room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sue, at the front desk, was especially kind to us at check-in. The mall is literally minutes away and you do not have to get back on 95 to get there (front desk will show you on a map a quicker way). Everything is nearby. Perfect location. We will definitely stay here again on any Portland trips. Worth every penny.

Dear J.M.,
Thank you so much for your wonderful endorsement. To be a "perfect hotel" is what all of us in the hospitality business strive for, and we appreciate your comment. We generally do price our suites to compete with local upscale one room units, so with the complimentary hot breakfast and nightly reception added on, they really are a great value. Come back and visit us again soon.

All the Best,

I live a little over an hour from Portland, so those early morning flights can be pretty brutal. Add in uncertain winter driving conditions, and spending the night before travel near the airport makes life much easier.
This was my second stay using their "Park and Fly" rate - about $200 but includes up to 7 days of parking. Since parking at the airport is $12/day, the hotel rate becomes quite reasonable.
Check in was efficient and uneventful and my suite (402) was very clean and well equipped. The even-numbered rooms are on the airport side of the hotel and I was aware of planes despite the earplugs I always wear at night. The planes didn't keep me awake but I wonder how it would be without earplugs. I think in the future, I will request an odd-numbered room just in case.
Upon my return, I called to request shuttle pick up and they brought my car around so it was warming up by the time we pulled up at the hotel. Since it was 5 degrees outside, I really appreciated the extra effort to take the chill off the car.

Room Tip: Even-numbered rooms face the airport and are a little noisier.

Dear Pixiedustgirl,
Thank you. We appreciate your feedback and endorsement. We very rarely have any issues with aircraft noise, which is surprising, but a lower floor may further reduce the possibility of any noise. You are correct, the odd numbered rooms face the entrance/parking lot side. Please do mention your concern when you make your next reservation and we'll be sure to find a nice, quiet spot for you.

If you want a family friendly hotel or a Stay vacation this is the place. My Chicago family not only loved the accommodations, but hotel staff are children and family friendly! Tolerable of even the most obnoxious children and family members. The pool and restaurant are child and Sr. citizens friendly! If you want a great stay-vacation south of Northern Maine or a meeting point for family north of Boston this is the place.

Dear Nancyleigh,
Thanks so much for your kind endorsement. Being at the airport, we do have a large number of business travellers but our suites really are great for families as well. We hope yours will be able to make a return trip before too long.

Terrific value, convenient to freeway and airport, very nice conference room, excellent food service all the way around. Rooms very clean and nice. Tip: if you use the Executive Conference Room on the 2nd floor, get rooms on that floor too, otherwise you have to go down to the lobby to use the restrooms.

We had a really great time this weekend. Only issue I had was the desk lamp didn't work. Room was clean and well equipped. Staff were really nice and very helpful. Room service was quick and the food was hot.

My mother and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Embassy Suites in Portland, ME, on many occasions for business as well as leisure. Each visit continues to reinforce why we choose this Hilton property in Portland. The suites are cozy and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Everyone who works on the front desk has always greeted us with genuine warmth which lets us know that we are valued guests. We've also had the chance to meet and talk with staff in every area of the hotel, from the bar and dining room team to housekeeping and maintenance. Be sure to order your favorite omelette from Andrew during the complimentary breakfast. Café Stroudwater, the hotel's restaurant, serves excellent food. Sam, the chef, is always happy to chat with customers about new items on the menu. The business center is quiet and well suited to business travelers' needs. The gym is spacious and modern with top-of-the-line equipment in perfect working order. The lobby is large and cozy for relaxing with a coffee or a glass of wine. A bonus on Monday nights is the free entertainment by 'The Tony Boffa Trio' during the Evening Reception. The hotel is located within a short driving distance of downtown Portland, top-notch shopping in South Portland and the outlets in Freeport. The free shuttle service is always available within minutes of our requests to be dropped off at the nearby Portland Transportation Center. Literally, everyone at this hotel is friendly and engaging, which is why we keep returning again and again. Our overall experience continues to be excellent. The Embassy Suites in Portland offers tremendous value for solo travelers, professionals and families. Very highly recommended!
