Needs major renovation, no sound proofing. The windows cannot be opened. No ac. Teeny tiny bathroom. Room is very small, just enough room for bed, dresser, and chair. The towels are thin rough, and very old. You can smell cigarette smoke from the room next door.

Room Tip: Has a dock to moor your boat. Very dog friendly, dogs everywhere!

Rode my bike from Rockland, ME in the cold and wind. Was never so glad to see the sign of the Town and Lake Motel. The staff was very nice and the room was clean, comfortable, and warm. It is right on the lake and looking out my window the wind was blowing so hard that there were whitecaps on the lake. Got a great nights sleep and took off the next morning in the cold and wind for Canada. Will definitely go back to the T @ L

Room Tip: They have rooms in the inn and individual cabins. The entire complex is right on the lake

I was there in winter on business. The room was clean, but did have a few problems. The toilet was not well-anchored to the floor and would rock. The wi-fi did not reach my room. Since I had quite a lot of work emails to deal with, I spent quite a bit of time standing at the motel's front desk. The lake, although frozen, was right behind the motel and was beautiful.

Booked a room with nothing to go by but reviews on a website. Couldn't have made a better decision.Centrally located, comfortable cozy room with a great view of the lake. Enjoyed watching the seaplanes take off and land, Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Room Tip: The kitchenette came in handy. All the rooms have a good view.

This is my 4rth trip to Rangeley staying at Town & Lake Motel. This motel is vintage coziness and nostalgic family accommodations. The view is spectacular, the atmosphere very laid back and also pet friendly. The owners live on site and are quick to please. This is a budget priced motel, not fancy , but a good value and walking distance to shops ,restaurants and attractions. Lawn is abundant for children to play, chairs outside for relaxing and watching sea planes and ducks swim.Parking lot is a bit rough, but also has room for trailers with ATV's. I had my dog with me and we were treated wonderfully. I look forward to next years trip and will again stay at Town and Lake.

This is an older motel, but seems to be well maintained. The owner is friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The price was outstanding. The back door of the room leads out to Rangeley Lake, just 50 yards or so away.

The only issue I had was the shower was a little small, but hey I am a big man. The water pressure was great.

We stayed here because the Rangely Inn was closed due to ownership issues. Nice location on the shore of Rangeley Lake. now the details:
1. No extra space in the room
2. Bath room small
3. Driveway could be automotive testing ground for suspension systems
4. Uneven walking surface at front door to room. (Really watch your step or take a fall)
5. Windows painted shut. Therefore no bathroom ventilation
6. Tiny closet
7. Heat not working on cold spring night
8. No air conditioning if it gets hot
9. No phone in room
10. TV worked well
11. If the room front door and the bathroom door opened at the same time you could be injured if standing in the right (wrong) place
12.Smoke detector missing from frame on wall
13. Wall clock not working
14.Handle missing from bed side table drawer
15. Same peanuts beside the bedside table before and after house keeping service
16. No hot water at all on second day.
17 Owner reduced charge for second day due to lack of any hot water.
We will pass on second visit.
