“Everything a Bed and Breakfast should be...And More!”
Reviewed 10 October 2007

We booked a three day stay here after first reading an article in our local paper (on Long Island) and then checking it out on TripAdvisor. We spoke to Frank on the phone first to get a feel for the Innkeepers themselves. We immediately hit it off.
Our drive up was very dreary since it rained all the way and we were unable to see any of the rocky harbor scenery that we had been looking forward to. But when we drove up to the Inn the sun came out and from then on everything was right.
Frank and PJ greeted us like old friends and that's how we felt the whole time we were there. Our room was spectacular, with sliders to the backyard and views of the flowerbeds and gazebo. We awoke next morning to the wonderful smells wafting from the kitchen. All our breakfasts were delicous. If you are lucky enough to get the macadamia scones, you are in for a treat!
Maine is wonderful. Beautiful scenery, great seafood, wonderful lighthouses. And LimeRock Inn is a Bed and Breakfast inn you'll cherish in your memory banks.

Our 5 night stay at the Limerock was excellent. My partner and I split our time between the Monhegan and Grand Manan rooms - both provided plenty of space and were absolutely spotless. Frank cooks a mean breakfast. PJ is at the ready to provide recommendations for off-the-beaten-path activities. The Inn's proximity to downtown Rockland (without being on a busy street) makes pedestrian access to restaurants, galleries and The Farnsworth Museum most convenient. Free wireless was convenient and fast. Pretty homes in a quiet residential neighborhood surround the property. Rockland itself is an interesting and scenic coastal town that doesn't yet feel overrun by tourists like us!

This was my first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and I would certainly recommend this Inn to anyone. The rooms, eating places, and landscaping were all beautiful. The food was excellent. Frank and PJ were like family to us and so easy to work with.

This lovely Inn hosted our wedding party recently and it was just perfect! First the location - the Inn is located within walking distance of the downtown area and just steps from the famous Wyeth Museum and Gallery. Also just down the street is a great park for families with young children. From this Inn you can drive just 15 minutes to Owls Head with its great lighthouse and parks - all in all, a great location. The Inn itself has wonderful rooms with various arrangements, all with private baths and many with whirlpool baths. Our breakfasts each day were delicious and the owners are up early making coffee - in addition there is a great pantry set-up with snacks and drinks available all day. There are lovely gardens surrounding the Inn and a great wrap-around porch for just sitting and enjoying the beautiful yard. There is a large living room with TV available and another sitting room to just relax. The owners are very friendly and not at all intrusive - they pay exquisite attention to detail and will help with arrangements for dinner reservations, suggestions for day trips, etc. If you are in the Rockland area, this is a wonderful place to stay - you will feel pampered and rejuvenated after lodging at the LimeRock Inn!

We have stayed at many B&Bs throughout Europe and the US but none can top the Limerock Inn.The inn is located a short distance from town yet is in a very quiet location. The rooms are top notch, the wrap around front porch is great for sipping a glass of wine, and the food will certainly surpass your expectations.
