“Large room but noisy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2013

This is an old home which has been turned into a B&B. Frank and PJ are the owners and very friendly. It's a great location if you're in Rockland. Our room faced the street and was rather noisy but it was large and had a nice large bathroom. I longed for some pillows that weren't foam. One morning for breakfast we had yogurt with fresh fruit and scrambled eggs baked in a ramekin, but the other morning was a bit too sweet for me. It was white chocolate macadamia nut scones and vanilla, cinnamon pancakes. If you're interested in watching movies I saw they have a very large selection you can use.

Room Tip: There was one room downstairs that overlooked the garden which would be nice.

We value our customer feedback and appreciate your taking the time to complete a review of our property. Thank you for the overall positive review. We've noted your two concerns and just wish you would have brought them to our attention while you were here.

1. Noise - We were initially unaware that this was the result of construction traffic using our neighborhood street to access an overnight construction project downtown. We brought that to the city's attention, and it has been stopped.

2. Breakfast - We offer a multi-course plated breakfast each morning alternating entrees between sweet and savory options. Please know that we would have been happy to oblige with a savory option both mornings of your stay.

Thank you again for staying with us and providing feedback.

Sincerely,
Frank & PJ

What can I add to the kudos Frank & PJ have received from everyone else? We have stayed in many, many B&Bs over the years, in at least 6 different countries, and they rank at the very top of the list. They excel in every category, from the rooms, to the breakfasts, to the warm and welcome counseling about what to do and see (and eat!) in the Rockland area.

These are people who truly love what they are doing, and it shows. We are already planning about when might return to the LimeRock Inn. Are only problem will be in deciding what to request for breakfast - croissants, popovers, or scones? We may have to stay 3 nights!

This is the second time we have stayed here at Limerock for our anniversary. On arrival, we were greeted warmly and even given a room upgrade. Frank and PJ are so warm and welcoming that you feel relaxed the minute you walk in the door. A great breakfast each morning is a treat. We would definately recommend staying at Limerock and will be back in the future.

The LimeRock Inn is a beautiful, converted old home with all of the modern conveniences. And the owners, Frank & PJ, quickly become friends whom you feel you've known for years. They are AAA rated for taking care of their guests. You dont get some "continental" breakfast of cold cereals & bagels left out for the taking. No, here you get Frank & PJ personally whipping up omlettes, french toast, warm croissants, etc -with fresh juices & some of the best coffee I've had!
Part of the charm and warmth of the Inn are exchanging stories and laughs with the owners. You feel at home immediately upon your arrival. With a beautifully landscaped yard and inviting wrap-around porch, it's impossible NOT to have a memorable stay there.

Just a few blocks from Main Street in Rockland this beautiful Victorian b&b is a great value. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed with wifi access and remote control everything. The common areas are warm and inviting. Breakfast was a wonderful 3 course meal. But the stars of the show ate frank and pj who make you feel right at home. Would definitely repeat!

We stayed one night to go to The Strand for a concert. Very nice Victorian B&B. Very friendly hosts. The king-size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome - fruit with yogurt and granola, almond poppy seed scones and light fluffy pancakes. Next time we're in Rockland, we will definitely stay here again.

Did an overnight at the Limerock Inn. Only regret it was not long enough. The Inn is warm and inviting, meticulously clean and tastefully decorated in Victorian decor. The moment you walk through the doors, you feel at home!. The rooms are charming and spacious. Frank and PJ couldn't be more gracious hosts. The breakfast Frank prepared was 5 star and the homemade biscuits with strawberry jam, to die for! Conveniently located two blocks from Rocklands seacoast downtown and great restaurants. Can't wait to return in the summertime. Try the Inn, you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Any room you chose is awesome.
