We found Waterman on a couple of sites, and although it didn't have many reviews, decided to try it out for a two night stay after a 4 day cruise on a Maine Windjammer.
The Inn doesn't have a sign out front, so we wound up comparing the house to the picture we had and deciding it was the right one.
The mother-daughter owners are friendly and welcoming. The house is a restored Victorian and beautiful and the gardens are lovely. A wrap-around porch has room to relax. Our room upstairs was light and bright. No phone, no TV (which was great with us). Queen size bed and attached private bath. Additional seating in the room made it easy to read, change shoes, etc.
We also had use of the sitting room and library downstairs, which we took advantage of in the evening.
Breakfast was fresh fruit and a fresh baked item. I would have loved some protein for breakfast, but this was fine. Coffee and tea were also hot and plentiful.
We had a key to the house and could come and go at will.
They only use two of the bedrooms for guests as they live in part of the house and also have boarders.
Easy walk to town, shops, attractions, and restaurants.
Parking is on-site and there's plenty of room.
Overall, an excellent place to stay.
