Project Puffin is supported by the Audubon Society and has been working to recolonize a number of Maine islands with puffins. Starting in the 1970's baby puffins (old enough to travel, but not so old that they wouldn't identify their new Maine islands as nesting grounds to return to) were relocated to the islands in Maine whose Puffins had disappeared. It took 8 years to see results. Film on this, plus a few exhibits on Puffins. Easy stop if you are in Rockland; it's right on Main Street.
