“Fun, fast stop”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

We didn't plan to visit, but we actually changed our plans to go after a great puffin cruise out of Boothbay and a recommendation from the Audubon guide on that cruise. The human-kid-sized puffin nest was what sold it.

We saw a short, informative movie, daughter did a slide show thing on how to observe and record birds as a researcher, and she had a blast playing in the puffin nest.

The staff was great - super nice and informative.

“Informative and Nice”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

The center is small but free (although they have a donation jar). Has a well stocked gift shop and a very interesting video about how they re-populated the puffin populations. Really enjoyed it.

“Worth a quick stop”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

The center is tiny, but a nice short stop to make for a good cause. I didn't get to view the video since the staff was mainly tied up with a group of kids, but seeing the puffin-cam was neat.

“Nice short visit”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

The film in the back room is great, and it's fun to watch the live puffin cam up front. Very small visitor's center so not much to see otherwise. But we always enjoy a visit, adopting a puffin, and getting something in the gift shop.

“A stop worth making”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

The short film was very instructual. and introduced us to the efforts exerted to re-establish a Puffin colony on Eastern Egg Rock. We were sufficiently intrigued to take the boat trip out to the colony to see the Puffins "live and in color".
