Our innkeeper, Sandy, provided us with a very comfortable place to stay in a great location. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the more up to date decor than other B&B's we've seen. Sandy also had great tips for local restaurants and sights.

The Ripples Inn is a beautiful house, decorated with taste and care - it has lovely character and the rooms feel light and airy. There is a TV/kitchen area upstairs for guests, which is fully stocked with tea/coffee etc, books, information and pretty much anything you might need.
If you want to explore Rockland, then you cannot find a more central location - within 2 minutes walk, you are at the shops/bars/restaurants on Main Street, and another minute up the street is the wonderful Farnsworth Museum, which has a fantastic collection of art, highlighting the Wyeth family in particular. Our host Sandi was very welcoming and knowledgable, and cooked up a very tasty breakfast in the mornings. We will most definitely return here.

We spent three nights at Ripples Inn during a week-long trip along the mid-coast and down-east regions. Sandi, our hostess, was a kindred spirit, with a friendly, laid-back manner. She also was very accommodating and flexible with our numerous requests. Her breakfasts were fabulous. The Inn is small and intimate, and, as a result, the service is very personal. Sandi's style is eclectic. While the mansion is charming in that New England 'turn of the century' way, it is not stuffy or overly-baroque. The location is excellent; an easy walk to the harbor and the heart of Rockland.

The best feature by far was meeting Isabella: the Inn's official greeter. Isabella is a friendly dog who won our hearts. We looked forward to returning each evening so that we could see Isabella.

Ripples Inn was a lovely, comfortable inn, convenient to the harbor and to many of the activities of Rockland. Our room had a bay window with a cute sitting area...it was called the "poet's room" and had many books of poetry on the bookshelves. All the rooms had unique themes. On the second floor there was a guest pantry, with a fridge, microwave, coffee, tea and snacks. Our breakfast included yummy cinnamon French toast with sausage, as well as juice, yogurt with blueberries, cantaloupe and coffee or tea. Our hostess, Sandi was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at this lovely, unique inn!

What a jewel this bed and breakfast is! It's just as charming as it can be as are the owner and her dear little dog. We couldn't have felt more at home with our comfortable room, quaint but perfectly equipped common room, and gourmet breakfasts. Ripples is in walking distance of shops and restaurants. It's an attractive and welcoming venue. Wish we'd planned to stay longer!
