My husband and I stayed at the Berry Manor Inn after our trip on the Stephen Taber windjammer cruise. Michael and Cheryl are such great hosts. The breakfast is not your typical B&B breakfast - it's a gourmet, multi-course feast. And the pies left out for guests to enjoy are rather yummy. We loved that the Inn was within walking distance to downtown Rockland so we could enjoy the restaurants and art galleries. Be sure to get Michael to take you on a tour of the house so you can learn the history!

We would highly recommend the Berry Manor Inn. The staff along with the accomadations were excellent, not to forget the Pie. The staff gave a complete overview of our one night stay and made us feel at home by letting us serve ourselves with slices of homemade berry pie. They even had ice cream for everyone. The room was excellent and breakfast awesome. This inn was 5 stars all around. Thanks to all who made our stay a wonderful one.

We booked our May stay months before our arrival and even before we knew about the Inn's "Pie Ladies" (see their youtube video-hilarious) and although my husband wasn't a "b & b" guy, we had the most wonderful stay! (Maybe he's a B & B guy now?) We both highly recommend the inn. We stayed in the Carriage House & the bathroom was enormous- more than enough room for 2 in the giant jetted tub and all of the spouts in the shower were overwhelming, like a carwash as Mike says. (Just use one at a time until you find your comfort level) Comfy bed, great fireplace & chairs to sit in to watch the t.v. Best fluffy towels and robes ever! Having the 24/7 pies was great and a stocked fridge of waters, drinks and juices was an extra bonus. (For one meal, we did take-out and ate it in the kitchenette area, used those drinks and had our dessert: pie!) Lots of dvds and games on hand in both the main house and carriage house. We found it to be quite private and quiet. Besides the cleanliness, history and beautiful furnishings, the extra touches and secret way they ALL know everything about us while there was an extra special hospitable touch. (when we ate at one restaurant one night, the breakfast server the next day that we had not met prior asked how we enjoyed dinner at that particular restaurant, for example) Everyone was helpful, friendly and willing to make reservations for us, gave us detailed maps/driving directions, etc. The breakfast was really good, changed every day. The breakfast menu is out each night and you can ask for a change. (One morning was fruit, coffee cake and stuffed french toast with bananas-too many carbs-so they gave me eggs in lieu of the french toast, for example) The area is ok. We preferred Camden and Rockport and even went down 25 min to the lighthouse that was featured in Forrest Gump one evening. Rockland shops were just "ok". The only "negative" about the inn, which wasn't really that big of a deal was the extra package we purchased, $25, for chocolate kisses, rose petals and sparkling beverage at turndown was artificial/fake rose petals not real ones. Didn't think to ask if petals were going to be real or not.

Room Tip: We preferred the carriage house b/c it was away from the main house

Loved our stay! Beautiful Victorian home, designed well. They set up our room with two twin beds for my friend and I. Homemade Pie every night and hot tea available all day (which made my stay)! The owners are most welcoming and I was especially grateful Mike took the time to give me a tour of their properties. Beautiful place! Plenty of walking, shopping and eating in Rockland. Pleasant.

Actually have 2 historic buildings on their grounds so big property. Really takes care of guests there, big emphasis on great food and concierge type service. Slightly removed from main st downtown but only a 5-10min walk. The pies, they're famous, The Pie Lady's! They have pies in spots around the inn w/ ice cream which is complimentary to guests.
