My sister, father, and I recently stayed at the Glen Cove while visiting relatives in the Rockport area, and we were just as pleased with the experience as we were with other stays at the inn. The beds were clean and comfortable, the "clean remote" TV had good programs (we especially enjoyed watching Harry Potter!), the view was exquisite, and the laundry room with coin-operated machines was a definite plus of convenience.

However, the continental breakfast did not provide quite enough food for all the hungry guests and there was only one overflowing trashcan in which to dump breakfast garbage.

Overall, though, we enjoyed our time at the Glen Cove and we intend to return for a future visit.

We stayed here with our two large dogs. The room was absolutely perfect for people staying with dogs. First room so only one "next door "neighbor, porch where all of us could relax with a view of the water in the far distance. Step outside to a nice patch of grass and readily available doggie bags for clean up. Room was not fancy but ac worked great and had a mini fridge. On a busy road but did not hear cars at all so this was not a problem. Only "complaints" porch could be repainted and bathroom/shower were small.
Continental breakfast was good and it was nice to eat on a warm morning outside with a beautiful view of the bay/ocean. Did use the pool which is not a lap pool but is clean, warm and serves its purpose for people who like to take a dip while on vacation. Lots of lounge chairs. Must mention the grounds are really kept up. Beautiful flowers everywhere; nice landscaping.
All staff we spoke with were very friendly and helpful. Other guests were nice and low key as well. Overall an excellent stay and would stay here again plus recommend to friends, even ones traveling without pets.

We needed a place to stay so we could enjoy the Blues Festival in Rockland. We drove by in June and I commented on how nice the landscaping looked and my husband suggested we should stop and see if a room would be available for the festival. We were pleasantly surprised when there was one.
The rooms were clean, the property well maintained, and the pool was pristine.
We would stay again in a heartbeat, and we have recommended Glen Cove to friends already for next year's festival.

First...the cons....I selected this particular place because it said it had a King Seaview room. I was utterly disappointed when I looked out our back deck and saw only trees. If you go here, just book a regular room...it will be cheaper. Just a few minutes down the road towards Rockland the hotels had beautiful views.

Pro...the rooms were quaint cottage style...clean and the beds were comfy. The continental breakfast was on the large porch which was nice. However, on a rainy day...I don't think so. The lady at the desk was helpful and pleasant.

I would try a different place next time...but for the price, and not expecting a great view...I would stay again.

We had 1 night to kill in Maine and decided to go North of Portland for a change. We had seen this place online but decided to choose something spontaneously along the way...and we ended up here anyway.

There are rooms in a B&B-style inn, as well as rooms that are more of a motel-style. We stayed in the latter - which was still available at 2pm on the day we checked in! The room was clean and spacious enough with a nice little sitting area and comfortable bathroom. I got the impression that they are working to upgrade it...bathroom was older (still clean!) but the sitting area had a cute modern rug and table, etc. The new wood floors were a plus - felt so much cleaner than an old carpet! The room also had a private deck with a bistro dining set, which was a very nice (unexpected!) touch at the price we paid.

We never made it to the pool, but it overlooks the Cove and I beleive it is a salt water pool. The complimentary continental breakfast is served outside - nice touch.

Really cute little place at a great value. Wouldn't think twice about staying again if we find ourselves back in the area.

This was the perfect place for my family of 3 adults including our 85 year old mother. We had a two room three bed suite with two full bathrooms and an extra sink. The room had a small frig and a microwave which made it easy to store snacks and drinks. The rooms were basic and could use a little touch up paint. But they were clean, very spacious and perfect for our needs. The owner and others were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The grounds are beautiful. Although it is right off the higway it was very quiet. The continental breakfast was perfect for starting our days explorations. The location was perfect between Camden and Rockport. I hope to return.
