What do you get when you pack the following into an old-timey general store: hard-to-find housewares, crafts, novelties, toys, traditional souvenirs, penny candy plus an ice cream stand and a comfortable, shady spot in which to sit and enjoy a generous hand-packed cone of Maine-made Gifford's ice cream? The Granite Hall Store - that's what. hen visiting Pemaquid Peninsula, be sure to stop by.

Great little shop with old fashioned candy, toys, and wonderful ice cream. A bit cramped, but we always stop when we are down that way.

The grandchildren cannot visit without a stop at Granite Hall for the penny candy and ice cream. It is their favorite thing to look forward to and I believe all the adults love it as much as they do. Wonderful little country store, a must visit. With a friendly staff and a great atmosphere near the lobster docks and restaurants, it is perfectly located for a visit. This one is not to be missed, it is a real Maine treasure. Thank you Sara!

If you long to lose time sorting through gadgets, nostalgia, and some fine handicrafts this is your spot.
The most quaint French mansard building filled with fun toys, kitchen oddities, paper goods and PENNY CANDY (which is a bit pricier now, but is oh so satisfying- I clutch that small brown bag closely, but will share begrudgingly or better, trade) This is a must for me anytime close to Round Pond. The Anchor is just fown the road for dinner or for seafood in the tough head down the hill to Muscongus Bay Lobster....and back to Granite Hall for Giffords ice cream at the back window!

Our family has been visiting Granite Hall for years. It's so quaint and charming. My children grew up buying penny candy. The patience the clerks had while my kids carefully chose their dollars worth of candy was amazing. I love the cards and the fun little kitchen trinkets. A must stop if you are in the area.

From hard candy to candles by local makers to kitchen utensils to hooked rugs, this place is a great browse on a wet day. Staff is charming and friendly. Some of the finds are surprising--including design-forward area rugs. We look forward to visiting every summer.

We have stopped here every year for decades usually after a lobster dinner down in Round Pond harbor. While the ice cream is great what is really engaging is the eclectic and extensive selection of both current and nostalgic gifts and nicknacks that have to be seen to be believed. Worth a visit.

An ecclectic mix of everything - the problem is the lack of customer service. We went to Muscongus Bay for lunch 3 in one week and were never able to get waited on when we stopped at the store on our way back.
